Do your homework. Much cheaper options based in the U.S. that are ethical companies. Yotpo basically stole $8,000 from our company with a yearly plan that never once got used because their tech team couldn't set it up and it didn't do half of the things they said it could do.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
None for mine.
What do you like best?
Its easy to use and our customers are pretty good at leaving reviews. It also shows the star ratings pretty clearly.
What do you dislike?
Its insanely expensive. They 10x their pricing to a point where it isn't feasible.

What do you like best?
There are three things I like about Yotpo:
1 - You can convert a "product review" into a "site review".
2 - You can moderate the reviews posted to filter them.
3 - They support Google Seller Ratings.
For the most part a reviews platform should be a "set it and forget it" kind of thing, though read on below, as in reality it seems like "setting it and forgetting it" really doesn't work with reviews.
What do you dislike?
I've been pretty hugely disappointed in Yotpo for a few reasons:
1 - Unexpected plan changes. One of the main reasons that we signed up for Yotpo is their support for Google Seller Ratings. At some point in late 2018, they decided to remove this feature from our account when we requested the ability to request more reviews using the system.
2 - Poor customer support. I've reached out numerous times about this removal, and they deny that the feature was ever on our account. Other support requests have been answered slowly, and the issues are only sometimes resolved.
For what they charge, the software itself has a pretty weak UX. And the customization options for the widgets they provide are very limited. I could handle all that if the ridiculous plan changes didn't happen, or if the customer support was better. If you're looking for a review tool, I recommend looking elsewhere.

What do you like best?
Yotpo is the best system I have found for getting customers to leave reviews. The ability to review without ever leaving your email inbox is priceless.
It has great social integrations and is a fantastic marketing tool.
It is also really easy to integrate with wordpress. I think setup time was 2 minutes.
What do you dislike?
The two main drawbacks are.
1. Reviews are 100% vetted by the vendor. You can delete or edit to your heart's content, making them worthless. You can even set it up to only publish positive reviews, so no one ever sees anything negative. I find this to be unethical.
2. Pricing is insane and is growing higher almost monthly. When I started with Yotpo about 18 months ago, their top plan was $300/mo with plans starting as low as $30 for small businiesses. Now they have custom price quoting so they can get every last penny out of you - my quote was $1,500/mo, and the low end plans have gone away. For a company as small as mine (about 25k views a month) this is impossible, so I can't use anything but their extremely limited free trial until I find a different review platform.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'd suggest looking into review.io. I don't have an account with them yet, but they seem to be offering 80% of the product for 10% of the price.

I use this to increase the number of reviews I get per purchase. This has helped since it gives my product additional credibility. While my customers tend to have 4 reviews per product - or less - I have 20+
This translates into higher sales, and more confident customers.
Reached out to customer service with a question I could not find through their "Help" forums. I have been waiting a full week, and I still have not heard from customer service. I followed up multiple times and still nothing. I am using their free version, so I assume that's why they will not respond, but it does not make me want to upgrade to their paid services. With this lack of communication, I would be weary to pay for anything of their services.
