What do you like best?
I use UDA constructionline in tandem with UDA constructionsuite. ConstructionSuite is much more powerful for estimating, building schedules, creating contracts, and setting up a job. ConstructionOnline takes over once the job is underway. Clients are able to log in and see as little or as much information as you want. I like to show them the overview schedule by groups, the contract, the drawings, the contract budget, the draws to date, the change orders(pending and accepted, allowances, and specific daily logs with picture updates. Vendors can log in and also see as little or as much as you want to show them. You can send RFQ's to vendors(I still use csuite for this. You can send RFI's, transmittals, submittals, assign to-do tasks to team members, vendors, or clients. So instead of sending a question as an email and forgetting to followup, a to-do stays on your reminder list until the other person has completed it. It has a great punchlist tool. It is mobile, so PM's can take it into the field.
What do you dislike?
It lacks a lot of the functions I feel are needed from UDA ConstructionSuite. So you need to use Csuite and CSonline in my opinion to get enough functionality. They merge fairly well, but not completely, and not automated. It does not have it's own financial system, it still relies on quickbooks(lousy software. The actual costs are not imported automatically, only when the job estimate is opened.It has no cashflow and earned income reporting.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Add automated syncing with QB. Also bring up all of the Constructionsuite features so everything can be done with CSonline.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Keeps the field crews up to date. They also get to see where things are at. Did the kitchen cabinets get ordered yet? Check on the latest plan revision. Using the selection sheets for allowanced items are great. Now I set the first selection based on what was used for the allowance, then give the customer choices and the budget costs of each. They can select right online and approve their choices. Change orders are done the same way.
PROS & CONS
What are the best aspects of this product?
UDA is the most complete solution to serve all your construction needs, beginning from planning and up to completion. The robust dashboard allows communication with clients, scheduling of meetings, generating progress reports, and better collaboration with workmates. Its collection of all the important information into one location has been highly beneficial and critical for us to finish timely. Being able to perform all the work in one platform made some aspects of the work very effortless, allowing us to focus on finishing early so as to keep our customers satisfied.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
There are some features which I completely do not know how to use. But with a little help from colleagues, I'm learning how to optimize the feature and this goes a long way.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
With its capability to quickly provide extensive information on various areas of planning and implementation and deliver them all in one location for access, UDA Construction cut by almost half the time we would allot on completing a construction project. This outcome, in turn, resulted in reduced project expenses and pleased clients that turn into loyal customers as they express looking forward to working with us for their next project.

What are the best aspects of this product?
UDA is a powerful and robust tool, providing everything our company needs from project costing to receiving the final payment. The best thing about this is you perform all the tasks in one platform so you don't have to move across multiple platforms to carry out basic tasks (scheduling meetings, sending emails, following up) for a single project. Having all the information you need in one location makes doing progress reports much easier.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
UDA enabled us to realize our full potential as a company and as a team. There is nothing in the market like UDA.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
Because UDA makes work more efficient, it suits perfectly for someone who handles multiple projects as I do, and without sacrificing the quality of service for any of these projects. Most importantly, UDA enabled me to provide clients comprehensive reports on their status of our work, from hours completed vis-a-vis the actual work that has been executed and completed. Overall, UDA shortened processes while causing little to no migraine because its interface is effortless to use.

What are the best aspects of this product?
ConsturctionOnline is a great tool but you can further optimize its performance if you use it complementary to ConstructionSuite. The entire suite of solutions works together to help you implement projects faster, easier, and in a more coherent workflow. For estimating costs, tapping suppliers, and staffing, ConstructionSuite will give you a helping hand. Once this is done, ConstructionOnline does all the work thereafter and with client relationship management services. This is made possible with the client portal which allows clients to view all the information they need about the progress of the project. For this, we provide performance reports which we can present with more organization and more visuals for better appreciation. Apart from better communication with clients, it also improved collaboration internally as top management could just draw up a to-do list that can be downloaded to everyone in the team and for each of us to work on.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
The ConstructionOnline is not sufficient when used independently of ConstructionSuite. However, integrating them is not that easy and requires technical assistance. Also, it sucks that it still doesn't have a financial system, giving us no choice but to make do with outdated tools like Quickbooks.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
ConstructionOnline enables everyone to be up-to-date on the happenings within the site, whether or not they are physically on the site. This promotes transparency and accountability in the system and an overall more efficient way to perform tasks. It boasts a slew of advanced cost, profit, and margin tracking tools that enable us to make exacting computations, thus reduce cost on extra material purchases, among others.
