Where do I start... the "Free trial" I was given was completely different than the actual program I used after my trial was over. All of the features I bought the software for were not included, and the ones that were, weren't as great as I thought they were. For instance, I thought the hashtag performance ratings were going to be shown overall and get more accurate over time. They don't. They only show the most recent within the last week or two. I also realized that most of the data they provided was already available in the Instagram insights.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
I was trying to solve the fact that the software in my trial was not the same as the software I paid for, but the customer service people took weeks and bounced me back and forth without an answer. MEanwhile I was paying for software that was useless to me.
What do you like best?
Nothing, it's just a nice layout with the worst solution
What do you dislike?
The sales team promise you something, charge you in advance, and when they can't deliver the customer success team keeps you delaying answers and after no solution, they don't give your money back and ignores you plead.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't use it. They will sell something they can't deliver

I loved the software. It was great to work with.

My point of contact was horrible to deal with. I had a family emergency, and throughout I received rude and condescending emails from my sales representative. I ended up voiding my contract before it was executed because I decided I could not work with my point of contact.

The software is great. It was the staff at Sprout Social that soured the experience for me.

I was hoping to manage my social media accounts
We wrote to support one week ago and we didn't got any answers.
We're a multibrand agency and changed our scheduling platform to social, to take advantage of the reports and chatbots.However, the posting capabilities are not fit for purpose and there are four astronomically poor areas that Sprout fails to perform:Firstly, we have 10 social accounts which frequently disconnect and we have to reconnect them to make sure things get posted. If this happens of an evening or weekend, the posts don't go ahead - Not fit for purpose. Secondly, we were told that the scheduling of stories has to be finalised on an app. This is a misrepresentation. By finalised, Sprout Social means there is no scheduling capabilities whatsoever. We need to press send on stories at the time they need to go live. As a 9-5 business, this means we can only publish during office hours - Not fit for purpose. Next issue is that you cannot link any products to the pages. This isn't highlighted and they say API is the reason for this. We had no issue with our previous scheduling platform on this and their API. We now have to manually use Facebook to connect products - Not fit for purpose.Additionally, despite having a rigorous multi-layered sign off process, meaning every schedule post is checked, we have posts being published to different accounts. This causes us significant contractual issues and again is not fit for purpose. In light of the significant failures above, the follow up with Sprout Social has been poor. They are unwilling to do anything and say that this is an API issue, which only applies to Sprout Social and not to other scheduling platforms. We have reported this to Trading Standards and Ofcom, and have had to trigger a legal complaint to get out of a contract which fails at every corner. We haven't even used the chatbot capabilities as yet, because we are too busy trying to firefight our way through the multitude of problems Sprout Social is causing our business.
