What do you like best?
You can manage and record a lot of information about projects and programmes.
What do you dislike?
It is clunky to use for planning projects. I would use excel to plan my projects first before adding to Primavera. So I found Primavera didn't help me save time as I would expect a project management tool to do.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
The organisation I worked for used Primavera to solve the business problem of lack of visibility and having disperate ways of recording project and programme information. It was used as a one stop shop for collecting, viewing and reporting on projects and programmes of work
What do you like best?
This is a very powerful and feature rich tool.
What do you dislike?
This tool requires so many mouse clicks and offers more features than most people need. It is very overwhelming and has a steep learning curve.
Recommendations to others considering the product
Be careful before you switch. There is a lot of intense training required to learn the software.

What do you like best?
As far as a CPM software, it is great, but you screwed it up when you attached it to a database with limits.
What do you dislike?
I hate the database. Once it fills up, you cant open or close anything

Great for scheduling until I run out of database space

Primavera is very customizable and if you have the right training, you can really get a lot out of the software (great schedule baselining, tracking, management, and reporting.
What do you dislike?
It's a very cumbersome software and takes a good amount of training to become efficient with it.
Recommendations to others considering the product
if your project has a higher level of complexity and you need very intricate reporting abilities, this software has all of the bells and whistles. I think it's a great software, just not for a more straightforward project.

Unfortunately, the series of projects that I'm working on move very quickly and change often. Since I'm newer to the software, it seems like it takes too much effort to get what I could really get out of the MS Project Enterprise software. I mentioned this in another review for Project, but P6 is like Lamborghini you have that you never actually drive anywhere unless it's for a special event since the Camry gets the job done with less gas and more comfort/peace of mind.

Cloud sharing data live across the teams.
What do you dislike?
Graphical display and user interface of the application.

Use online tutorials and join community/forums to troubleshoot issues.
