What do you like best?
I like being able to send out surveys to employees about engagement.

They send way too many emails to us as administrators.

What do you like best?
The product support team is excellent and reacts very quickly to suggestions and needs. The ability to create your own services is really helpful and now you can even create them in multiple languages.
What do you dislike?
The overall platform and technology is a bit behind their competitors in certain areas. There is a strong focus on only mobile communications, but it would be nice if it integrated better with email and intranet for those users as well. It is also only available on Google Play and Apple, if you have users in China using Android without access to the Play store then they can only use the web based version.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Look around to find the vendor that fits best for your company's needs. There are many different options out there and all companies have different focus areas that mix feature set and costs. The biggest thing to nail down is the internal need and use cases for the technology.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We were not able to directly connect with our manufacturing workforce and now using personal mobile devices we can easily communicate with them. It is very easy to create content both as messages and as services and to target the information to different groups and channels so that you have the right audience receiving the right messages.
What do you like best?
The spotlight module implements an expert search based on standard Sharepoint features (Ask Me About, Interests) and also on hashtags in the discussion stream. People love being able to do a search instead of sending random emails hoping to stumble into "someone who knows someone who knows about X".
What do you dislike?
Adoption is hard. That's a cultural problem, but it's easy to blame on the technology. Always pressure from the user base to get that one new feature that they think will make adoption inevitable.
Before version 4.5, the search integration with Sharepoint was really subobtimal.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
A year ago, I was pretty sure that Microsoft would rapidly improve their social features to the point where third-party integrators like Sitrion would no longer be needed. Now I'm less sure. Microsoft's improvement has been slower than expected, no on-premise improvements at all, and Sitrion has expanded its footprint to other aspects of business process.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We have a business problem with "silos" - people doing similar jobs in different divisions, using similar technologies, but they don't know each other.
An unexpected use for the technology has appeared in recent weeks - engineers and technologists using the interest-based community borrow expensive/obscure equipment from each other. We will proabably get significant savings from this but we haven't figured out a metric for it yet.
What do you like best?
The user experience is great. The platform is very user friendly and people like the reminders of what they are working on. Also the FEED is a nice new feature for employees and members- and adds another layer of creative challenges.
What do you dislike?
We are not into the limeade one yet. We are in the older platform. We wish there were more creative challenges to provide unique member engagement experience.

Not on the platform yet. Hoping for 1st quarter 2021.

What do you dislike?
Content-Creation, No WYSIWYG, No html, Look and feel could be more fresh/modern, could look more like up-to-date apps
