What do you like best?
I previously used Mailchimp, but Flodesk gives me the ability to create a more beautiful newsletter. It really increased the professional look of our on-boarding and off-boarding processes.
What do you dislike?
Flodesk doesn't integrate as easily with Squarespace, but it wasn't enough of a hassle to keep me from using and recommending the product. The snippet of code for the pop-up unfortunately makes the newsletter sign up pop up even on the back end of our Squarespace site. It's annoying, but minor.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Flodesk allowed us to design a better email, which has helped us in all aspects of our business. From on-boarding new clients to sending out freebies, we've gotten a much better response rate due to our improved design in Flodesk.
What do you like best?
Flodesk is so simple and streamlined. It is easy to create workflows, custom emails, segments, and popups that are simple, aesthetically pleasing, and easy to operate. I struggled with MailChimp for years but didn't want to opt for other more expensive options like ConvertKit. Flodesk is easy (I can create a beautiful email in minutes), affordable, and very easy to customize to my brand.
What do you dislike?
Nothing so far. There are no advanced options with Flodesk, but I don't need much beyond weekly educational and marketing emails, landing pages, and workflows.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you have a strong focus on the aesthetic of your brand and simplicity, Flodesk is the way to go!
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
SIMPLICITY! Flodesk resolves the countless hours spent trying to combine and sort out email lists, create landing pages, format emails, and create opt ins. I have saved time, money, and stress.
What do you like best?
The best thing about Flodesk is its aesthetics. Most people switch over to the platform for that reason alone. It has super robust features for still being in beta and I can tell right away when I receive an email from someone using the platform.
Even if you want to create a super straightforward email design, the wide range of fonts and block color/padding customizations will elevate a simple design without much effort.
Another really great feature is the ease of use. It's drag and drop with simple delete and duplicate actions and there really isn't much of a learning curve at all.
Analytics are clear and easily accessible. Creating workflows (funnels and campaigns) is super simple to create, edit, and implement. Migration is simple.
Customer service is quick and friendly. Because the platform is so new you will have eyes on your questions by either the creators or one of the few hires that they have, so it's really personalized service, at least at this point.
What do you dislike?
I wish the layouts and templates were editable. They are super beautiful and adaptive but I often have content that could utilize a particular layout in theory but as the blocks are fixed, don't exactly match up with the photos I'd like to use.
As a designer, I also wish there was an option to upload my own custom fonts. I like to use fonts that aren't common to set myself and my clients apart. To their credit, Flodesk did a great job of adding both common and uncommon, really aesthetically attractive fonts to their site for your use.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I highly recommend Flodesk. It has a robust affiliate program when you refer people and one of the biggest kickers is that unlike most other email marketing platforms, Flodesk allows for an unlimited number of subscribers without an increase in monthly fee- your fee remains the same regardless of if you have 5 subscribers or 500000.
Another helpful feature is that Flodesk automatically cleans out duplicate emails, so when you migrate your lists and segments over you don't have to worry about subscribers receiving multiple emails from you.
The nicest thing about Flodesk by far is the aesthetics. Even if you choose to create a basic email layout and forgo using their templates, they have a robust list of fonts (serif, sans serif, and handwritten- a nice touch for accent text or as a signature at the end of your emails). They have a variety of line break designs, customizable colors (just need a hex code if you don't like their range), and an easy drag and drop design platform that is simple and user-friendly.

Flodesk is a great email platform. I switched over to it from Mailchimp and chose it over Convertkit. You can schedule your email campaigns ahead of time and the analytics are easy to access.
It is also so easy to create funnels with their workflow feature. Super simple and zero learning curve.
What do you like best?
The templates and fonts are BEAUTIFUL. As someone in the creative industry, emails being aesthetically appealing is the most important to me. In my opinion, flodesk is the best out there!
What do you dislike?
I haven’t found anything that I dislike yet.
