What do you like best?
Ease of use. ChartHop is very intuitive, and has a very responsive UI. It very clearly shows organizational data in a way that's easy to understand. We use ADP WorkForce now which is the opposite in nearly every way, but those pains are mostly solved because it flows into ChartHop and is visualized easily. Their support is great too—I have emailed Ian, ChartHop's creator multiple times for help & he's responded quickly with what I needed. They have a support team now, which I've had good experiences with.
What do you dislike?
Sometimes the data doesn't seem to match up with what we believe is in ADP & it's difficult to troubleshoot where the issue is (ADP vs human error vs ChartHop). We have run into a fair number of small bugs or things that don't work quite the way we expect, but they seem to be corrected quickly.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
ChartHop vastly improves the employee experience getting HR & Org data vs them having to go into the HR system itself (at least when yours is clunky and unintuitive like ADP). There's a large, somewhat intangible benefit to being able to clearly visualize all levels of your org and their relationships, especially as someone new to the company.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
ADP's interface is garbage, so this helps our entire company keep track of who's who. I'm on our IT team, but I believe our HR team uses ChartHop's planning and scenario capabilities. I've been able to quickly export the data I need, and have integrated it into downstream apps for user provisioning & updates. Connecting ADP to those apps directly is $$$
What do you like best?
ChartHop produces clean, customizable organizational charts with a click of a button. The system can integrate data into data sheets that have smart field calculations and stores multiple versions of spreadsheets in one system. Its compensation system eliminates the need for us to facilitate the creation of compensation spreadsheets and micromanage their completion.
What do you dislike?
I dislike that it is too accessible with certain data (like organizational charts) to users that have limited access in the system.

We are solving our problem of creating real-time organizational charts instantaneously and our comp process.
What do you like best?
Super intuitive and flexible platform with many integrations and features that allows us to consolidate spreadsheets and sensitive people data into one place. Scenario planning and visualizations helps convert data into actionable insights and business decisions.
We really like how fast the platform is evolving and excited to see ChartHop grow its offering into adjacent HR categories- hopefully we can consolidate all the tools we use over time!

Nothing so far - love the product and how responsive the support team is to our questions and needs!
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The velocity of feature development and speed in which the platform has been improving is astonishing.
I would recommend companies look at both their current and future needs and also recognize that software implementations needs to consider longer term success of the vendor. To that degree, we're very confident that ChartHop will only get better over time and excited to see how they continue to expand across the HRIS solution categories.

- scenario planning for org redesign and future hiring
- streamlining people operations (love the Google/Excel spreadsheet data integration feature) we can have 1 central place where people data is verified and correct and push that to all the surrounding spreadsheets and places we need to access the data
- storing employee history and timeline, super useful to see all the info in one place across disparate sources
What do you like best?
Reporting and customization. We have the ability to build out a tool that works for our unique org structure.
What do you dislike?
With all of the customization can come a long list of "custom fields"

Give it a try, we were allowed a pilot account to test the tool before committing.

We have a matrix org and could not find a tool that would work for our company. We moved to Charthop because of the search capabilities, historic views, and integrations with our ATS.
What do you like best?
I love how customizable ChartHop is. I have yet to run across an idea that the team at ChartHop wasn't able to help me implement.
What do you dislike?
So far I do not have any dislikes. I will say it took me a bit to figure out how the formulas work when creating graphs but once I understood it I can make graphs in little to no time!

ChartHop is allowing the HR department to be fully data driven. It also provides great visibility of managers into their teams.
