What do you like best?
BrandMentions searches very widely to find mentions of my keywords. I get new mentions in the inbox every day.
What do you dislike?
It can be difficult to set up and if you use advanced parameters you have to manually apply what worked in the instant search to an ongoing search

I use BrandMentions to monitor the web for mentions of my own brand as well as search for business opportunities and good deals on software we use internally.
What do you like best?
Beautiful UI, easy to use, great results
What do you dislike?
White Label is per account not project, sometimes brand sentiment can be ambiguous but it is easy to amend

What do you like best?
I could keep track with newsworthy items and mentions in the keywords I am tracking and share them with my audience. I like that I could narrow my search to a specific country so I don't have to sieve through the data collected by the app
What do you dislike?
Wish that the onboarding is more simple, the sentiment analysis needs improvement. I did not use the reporting feature as it was a tad too data-heavy

If you're using it for competitive study or tracking of newsworthy items for yourself of your client, this app is a great time saver!

Saving time and money from tracking newsworthy items for social media curation. I also enjoy the reliability of tracking keywords that I have specified.
What do you like best?
Easy setup, simple interface, data is displayed in an easily consumable format, nice white label reporting with the plan I'm currently on. I've discovered website mentions I probably would have never found without Brand Mentions. I'm also able to track which influential users on social platforms like Twitter have interacted with my account through retweets or replies.
What do you dislike?
The app comes to a hard stop when you've reached your mentions limit. Social media mentions can be a bit messy if you receive a lot of interaction. Brand Mentions should probably create a separate display format for social mentions as opposed to web mentions, which are a lot easier to display and analyze through their current user interface.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Perfect finding web mentions. Social mentions are good too but can be a a bit messy if you receive a significant amount of interactions on platforms like Twitter.

Easily track press you have received or mentions on social media. I've saved time searching for these things and have often picked up on mentions that I would have otherwise missed.
What do you like best?
With little experience in social media monitoring, I'm grateful to find that onboarding was simple enough for me to follow. And the user interface is pretty~
What do you dislike?
I noticed that it's still showing me mentions of topics outside of my selected country. Maybe it's just my account - getting support to look into it.

If you're looking for something simple yet robust, BrandMentions is worth giving a try.

Highest priority has got to be brand monitoring. Followed by topic monitoring for the use of outreach and content curation.
