YouTube BrandConnect is YouTube's official branded content platform that connects creators and brands for mutually beneficial partnerships. Originally launched as FameBit and later rebranded under the YouTube ecosystem, it allows eligible YouTube creators to collaborate with advertisers directly from within YouTube Studio. It is designed to help creators monetize their content beyond AdSense by participating in sponsorship deals, product integrations, and branded content campaigns.
The platform streamlines the entire workflow of branded content—from discovery and negotiation to content creation and performance analytics. For brands, it provides tools to identify and collaborate with creators that align with their campaign goals and target audience. It supports comprehensive analytics, including Brand Lift metrics, helping advertisers measure campaign impact on brand awareness and consideration.
For creators, BrandConnect offers a built-in Media Kit, proposal management, and campaign support that includes legal and compliance checks. YouTube takes care of campaign structuring, disclosures, and payment processing, making it a hassle-free experience. Currently, the service is available only to creators who meet specific eligibility criteria, including having over 25,000 subscribers, being part of the YouTube Partner Program, and residing in eligible regions. YouTube retains a small percentage of the deal as a platform service fee.
