Loved the product. Although they restrict a lot of features for free users but still does the job 8/10 times.
An amazing video conference experience. No issues with respect to team communications.
Couldn't convert a recording. Contacted the tech guys and they were able to manually convert the files I sent them within 24 hours. Unusually good service from a tech behemoth. Very impressed.
PROS & CONS
What are the best aspects of this product?
It provides quality audio and picture when we set up a meeting. When there are any glitches on the same, it resolves itself easily which puts us back on track without much struggle or loss of time. When it comes to compatibility, there is a mobile application which runs both Android and iOS to give you a flexible experience. The tool is user friendly and thus you do not have to spend a lot of time learning the hurdles that come along. In that case, our teams are able to bring new hires up to speed with how the product works. It also integrates well with Slack which adds to how efficient we can utilize the functionalities of this product.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
There are a few problems that this tool has in terms of functionality. To start with, the pricing plan is not that inclusive of the users. It has a free version which gives you only 40 minutes to try it out. It feels like this time is minimal and it would be better if it was extended. Also, they can opt to take away some of the features in the free version that are available in the paid version of the Zoom. When it comes to the chat feature, it is not as good as the one in Slack. We therefore opt to use Slack along with Zoom as they integrate well.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
We aim to recruit new talent in our company and getting in touch with such talent can be daunting task. Zoom has allowed us to be more efficient and through based on how we recruit and hire the best candidates for the job. The harder part is that, we have to recruit countrywide. Luckily, we have Zoom as it is able to cover more ground as compared to when you are doing it manually. We can hold interviews with potential candidates by sharing screens and ideas on the same platform. As a result, we can come up with a selection of candidates that we feel meet the threshold.
