Yolt has blocked my account for no justifiable reason. After carrying out their identification process, it says I failed a “Know-Your-Customer” test and my access to the app and my personal data has been blocked. As I was surprised by this (I provided official ID with proof of address and there is nothing suspect about my account), I asked for an explanation. The company basically said the computer said no and we will not give you any reason and we will not provide you with the opportunity to sort it out. I think it’s important to expand on the fact that they implied that a decision was taken by a machine. Compare the following statements, both provided to me, and clearly not compatible in spirit. The first heavily suggests they do not know why the decision was made as a machine basically took it (“cannot conduct it in in a manual way"), while the latter basically says they take no automatic decisions. This isn’t irrelevant, as automatic decisions, while acceptable under certain circumstances, come with greater legal scrutiny under European privacy law.Yolt when first asked: ”the majority of our KYC process is automated we are not able to repeat the KYC checks, conduct them in another manual way”Yolt when the lawyers get involved: “We do not use automatic processing or profiling to make automated decisions about you that could significantly impact you (like refusing you financial products or credit profiling).”I also asked for a copy of all the personal data the company has on me, a legal right. Yolt told me I could get a copy of my data only by going into the settings of the app they have blocked me from accessing! While they earlier replied to my emails within 24 hours, they have ignored me after I pointed this out to them. Hence, they are in direct violation of GDPR as they are explicitly refusing to comply with a subject access request. Moreover, as the “blocked from accessing Yolt” screen includes this very same message – if you are blocked you can get a copy of your personal data by going into the settings of the app we have locked you out of using – this isn’t a slip-up from their support. The app is actually designed so that people locked out from using it are told to go to a settings screen they can no longer access in order to exercise their legal rights. Support will as well.In conclusion, I can give you three reasons for my score:1. You may at any time be locked out from your account for spurious reasons. Support will not explain why, and will effectively tell you to get lost if you ask them.2. They will mislead you. They will insinuate that a decision is taken by a computer and that they cannot say why, while that is almost certainly not the case.3. Yolt does not respect the law when it comes to subject access requests for blocked accounts. This is by design. While incompetence may be the reason, that is not a valid exemption under GDPR.I am now forced to work with the UK privacy regulator ICO to force Yolt to comply with the law. This should not be necessary.

i am unable to login back into my account. tried filling in contact form several times and clicking send button but it does not respond. no other method of speaking to customer service.

I can’t add my Santander business account. Would be good if one could add mortgages No graphs available to track spending per segment.On the whole not very useful

Not useful. Imports random numbers from accounts and sends scary notifications that you don’t have enough money in your account to cover outgoing payments.

Tried to connect my Barclay's account but got OBA28 error - any idea what that means? Using IoS by the way...
