WRITE A REVIEWIf you are trying to personal use this for trip planning, please don't. The lack of care and resolution Peteris has for "little people" is appalling. They don't care about you because they have larger clients. They expect people to upfront an entire trips cost and they will payout your funding two weeks after the trip has ended. This is not something you see upfront when creating an account and making payments. It just says your personal info has to be verified which is understandable. Also, they edited their terms notes a week before they responded back to me which was already suspect. I'm so angry I have money tied up into this company and now have to refund all of my attendees. This isn't good because we risk them not resigning up for our trip. This company is crap if you aren't an agency or large company. Keep your little money if you cannot afford to upfront.(Updated at 4:30 on October 31st)And see the message below. Copied and pasted because I’m not a school. I’m also not a a tour operator. Just a person taking people I KNOW on a trip. Yep, you guys have it out for you. :)
WeTravel has many fraudulent tour operators using it and the company does nothing to safeguard customers, screen our operators, or aid in the event of an issue. Our tour operator stole $3K from us through WeTravel and the company has done nothing to help in the situation - in addition, they continue to accept payments for that tour operator (who now has so many bad reviews that his profile is flagged as fraudulent on many review sites. I will never pay anyone through WeTravel again and I I would recommend you insist to any potential tour operator that they use a different payment portal - WeTravel will not help in the event of fraud.
Great website with easy to use features, but the payment system is complicated and customer service is awful. I had a group tour and once my travelers pay the fees, they did not verify my account and I have to refund the fees for my travelers and they did not get the refund directly, they have to wait at least 10 working days.
If I could give this company and 0 rating I would. I had been paying monthly installments on a high school trip for my grand daughter. On March 7th, 2020 I received an email stating that the trip had been canceled by we travel due to lack of participation from the school group. I have been corresponding with the we travel trip organizer by email and have just received a run around with the last correspondence being April 1, 2020. At this time I was told I would receive my $541.30 refund no later than Friday and as this writing I have not received it. I can’t seem to find someone in upper management to contact to resolve this issue. And needless to say I am very discouraged and will tell the school who used this company not to do so in the future.
In 2019, I experienced the worse nightmare and lack of customer service with this company. U.S. businesses and travelers, BEWARE!!! This is a foreign based, shady company. They promised me a teleconference at sign up and then sent me an email with a string of links, stating they no longer do teleconferences. The is the first problem. It wasn't until after my travelers began making payments on the trip that I was told I may be partially verified, which meant I couldn't finance my tour because the funds aren't released until after the tour. I understand their steps to insure security, but verification decisions should have been made BEFORE I collected one dollar using their platform. I had them refund my travelers, and I got a merchant services account and payment processing through Authorize.net. I had to build a website and get software installed QUICKLY. So essentially, I traded one stress for another. And I trust no company that cannot have a telephone conversation with it's customers. Especially a foreign one. BEWARE!!!They will hold your travelers money hostage and potentially bruise my company brand. Run away from this...as fast as you can. Thankfully after all this mess was sorted out I got "verified" with a legitimate company, authorize.net and my group trip to Ghana was successful.
