What do you like best?
It works. We have products set up and the program does what it was made to do.
One part that works well is the Purchase Order and Sales Order section. These seem to work well for us without a hitch.
What do you dislike?
There are numerous features which are not present on the platform that need to be implemented. Disassembly of a product, back dating transactions, undoing completed transactions.
The platform is extreamly inflexible. We frequently have problems with transactions that are not completed properly. They may have the wrong price, or quantity, and we need to go back an update this quantity. Dear Inventory has these features and it would be great if unleashed incorporated them.
Unleashed's support forum is extreamly underwhelming. The support pages have very little information on them. After using this system for several years, I am still not able to log into Unleashed Support. Why on earth would my login to Unleashed not log me into the support community. That blows my mind. Also, Unleashed university is a paid service!? We are already paying to be customers and can hardly get any useful support, and this section is paid. Unbelievable.
Many of the reports/document exports from Unleashed cannot be customized. This is very frustrating. Several of the reports use Product Code to represent the product. It is extreamly annoying when I print these reports and every product is represented by 3030, 3023, 3089, 3096, 3191. How on earth am I supposed to know what product this associates to? They should include the product description 100%.
Recommendations to others considering the product
I would recommend Dear Inventory to anyone needing a system like this. We attempted to switch our company to Dear Inventory and unfortunately were unsuccessful in doing so. So it looks like we are stuck with Unleashed.
I am so glad that we have a new user interface to work with and not a single new feature....Spend more time creating useful features and less time making it sexy.

We manufacture organic snacks. We utilize this system for inventory tracking and manufacturing processes.
What do you like best?
Reporting is C+ and leaves too many holes. You cannot get a clear glimpse of any history without running 8 reports
What do you dislike?
Basic data entry. No ability to customize. You cannot easily make changes or adjustments for information not provided by unleashed. Example: no estimated ship date to the customer. You cannot select who to send notifications to unless you manually type in the name

We ended up going in another direction for our inventory control so I don't have an assessment of the software to really grade it. I will warn anyone that decides to do a "trial" with this company that they also have a 30 day cancellation. The product they give you to try did not have the feature we needed so we purchased it. Then when we went to cancel it we were told to read the TOS and that we had to pay for an extra month. Makes zero sense based on the type of product it is. I would stay away and look elsewhere for your inventory control software.
We are a small manufacturing business which had to switch from MYOB to Xero with Unleashed because MYOB ceased offering small manufacturing assemblies within its software. Unleashed has worked somewhat for what we need but we just received our annual invoice with a price rise of nearly 25% with no warning. The costs are way too high for what we need. For all I know this price rise may continue every year. I have queried this price rise and was basically told we've made massive improvements and you need to pay for them. Not good enough.
Very little regard for their customers. A salesperson called me multiple times to convince me to convert. Initially, it seemed interesting and something that we could use in our business. The salesperson resorted to a tactic to pressure me to sign before a certain date by telling me the price of onboarding would raise if we delayed. So I decided to give it a try and signed up. However, within doing our first onboarding call, we found that this did not do what we hoped it would and that the integrating process would not be smooth. Therefore, we said that we would like to not move forward with it for now. At that point, they said we would be locked in for a minimum of 4 months and there would be a cancellation fee. In total, doing a single call and deciding it wasn't for us would cost us over $500. The frustrating thing is that I still did think the software could have been viable and did want to explore it with them in the future once we reach the right stage. However, their eagerness to attempt to bend their potential customers over and take them for all they could really put me off of this company. I regret that we fell for the hard sales tactics and frankly feel a bit scammed by how we were treated. At the end of the day, there's lots of quality competing software in the market and the types of people you align your business with matter. Therefore, I would suggest that you stay away.
