What do you like best?
I love the straight forward programability and DIY aspects of setup and the reasonable monthly fees.. + the rewards, gift card and online ordering are awesome add-ons. They broke the rewards system
What do you dislike?
Sales has been slow to respond to issues. The most recent updates have broken major aspects of their system which is a terrible indication of a company focused on growth as opposed providing solid service.

Their updates have been buggy, disrupting business significantly with very lackluster response.
I've had a rotating sales rep issue and they don't communicate account info, creating a terrible experience ultimately. Due to this issue, I gave an actual referral to another restaurant owner, they bought ,multiple installations and I was not given credit.. they actually gave the credit to an affiliate, which is awful.
What do you like best?
I'm not sure there is much I can say about their platform.
What do you dislike?
Their company makes it mind bogglingly difficult to get access to your data. First, the client had to have several sales conversations with a sales person, and then had to fork over $2,500 just to get access to an API. Then, there is an entire "certification" process, which is an elaborate song and dance for them to get an idea of what you want to build with their API. Compare this with any tech company in San Francisco where all you need is to give an email address. What gives?

I bet Toast is great to work with on the POS and business side. But in terms of getting data to analyze and make business decisions? It's undeniably difficult. There are too many hurdles to get access to data, something that other companies happily give away for free.
A lot of problem and inexperience people that don't know how to give proper support. The executives seem to promise the world and don't and certainly don't keep their promises. I have the entire time felt Like I have been lied to and misinformed at every turn. Am I don't mean misinformed like people made a mistake I mean I've been told things and promise things that I have never ever had a chance of receiving from the company from the moment we signed our contract I have been very very disappointed my recommendation is that you choose a different system
The worst service I have seen from a company that deals with restaurant to this day i have not heard back from anyone to help me. We are a small business owners and are growing that we are opening a second location that i wanted to continue working with toast as my main POS system. We are going on over two months that i have call and call toast sales line the costumer line and nothing. The options you have to expand each page is almost limitless.
What do you dislike?
The Customer Service. Takes hours, sometimes days for them to get back to you with technical difficulty questions. And when you finally do get ahold of them and gone through all the work you've tried to do to figure out the problem on your own, they ignore it. they never want to take the blame. I've gotten more attitude and less results from toast and its unproductive.
