Absolutley shocking service. Covid19 has caused huge delays with clients getting records over to me in time to complete year end accounts, My Accounts production licence was up on the 28th August and i asked for an extension as i had only used 5 of my 12 licences. Of course Taxcalc didnt want to help me becuase they want more money! Avoid and use a different software compant.

I had technical problems with my self assessment due to Taxcalcs unfathomable system.They accessed my computer remotely and said all was fine and so i filed my tax return.They assured me all was good.Then months later i got a letter from HMRC fining me for not filing. Taxcalc refused to accept any blame and behaved in a completely arrogant and rude manner. I strongly advise against using this company for self assessment.

Useless. App would not load last night when i needed to submit my returns. I ended up going back to my GoSimpleTax account which worked like a breeze and i managed to submit on time. They need to refund the money back to me.

I have tested the other software providers and they have the same functionality as tax calc but do not charge a cloud fee. The cloud cost they charge the client is not in proportion to the cloud cost for any storage. I can get 1TB of cloud storage for less than £2 a month and they charge £230 for a single user. And our database is nowhere near that size. The want over £1000 for 5 users with cloud acess.I believe as your practice grows they become more and more expensive and they are ripping businesses off.
