What do you like best?
The Support team was amazing, patient, and experienced. They were responsive and very good at explaining the idiosyncrasies of the platform
What do you dislike?
The bulk CSV upload *did not* include ALL the required fields. Therefore there was a manual data entry requirements which TOOK HOURS to complete. Also, there was no automated way to upload assets (other products allow for a url link to upload the images)
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Modify the bulk upload CSV to include ALL the required fields (for Marketing & Initiate)
Simplify Asset Management upload
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
None except satisfying Lowe's requirement to load our catalog here. As a supplier, retailers dictate their 3rd party catalog provider requirements. It's burdensome on the supplier. We are now paying several companies because of retailer requirements AND subscribing (mandatory) to an 'overall' UCC required system.
What do you like best?
The Edgenet team seems customer focused and are easy to work with. Tool is easy to use compared to some other systems.
What do you dislike?
A year later we still have not seen the results on the retailer site from work done on the platform. Logging into the portal can be slow. We've had a number of changing requirements that caused us to have to go back into the system and revise data multiple times. Error descriptions are not always descriptive and can be difficult to resolve.

Research options from retailers and understand the timelines and multi-year investment needed.

I like the new Syndigo platform layout versus Edgenet
What do you dislike?
Bulk items do not load and multiple error messages when trying to edit more than 50 items at a time. Mass item edits are frustrating and too time consuming.

Easy to import new products with a retail partner or several.
What do you dislike?
Price, the cost is more likely for retailers with a large product line. We are a smaller retailer so the cost isn't beneficial for us.

Adding new products to current or new retailers is easy, seamless.
What do you like best?
Everything is online and accessible if you are familiar with the platform.
Fabulous customer service, from the top to the bottom, they want to make the product work the best it can for the users.
What do you dislike?
Many of our users have difficulty using the platform, I believe this to be in part to lack of general computer knowledge, but also the broad search for content does not always match the most accurately.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Don't use this if you need a large number of people to access the content.

Shot farm is great if you are just looking for a large filing cabinet for assets you wish to put on website and web stores so that they have an active link. We also use it for our sales force so they can access all of our content digital. The benefit of having everything in one place is great.
