What do you like best?
Reduces the risk of a breach or mishandling of data without any business disruption.
What do you dislike?
It’s still the original code base and has had recent new features bolted on and it’s creating huge reliability issues.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Spirion discovers and automatically classifies sensitive data across my company's network. One of the benefits is it reduces excessive data collection.
What do you like best?
Spirion differs significantly from its competition because the platform primarily performs contextual, automated discovery and remediation with the least amount of false positives.
What do you dislike?
I wouldn't say there are any cons to this. The only thing I would suggest would be to update the filter system when reviewing an endpoint that set off an alert. Once you put in the endpoint name, you then have to search and then select. If it finds an exact match, it should populate automatically.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
This is a very easy to use software that helps us manage PHI and ensure employees are not storing anything they shouldn't be on their desktop. The GUI is great, streamlined and easy to identify alerts. The ability to customize what alerts come through to identify birthdays, SSNs, provider information is easy to set up as well.

The ability to manage protected information that employees may have saved on their hard drive by accident or temporarily.
What do you like best?
Spirion is a very complete platform that offers data protection services and protocols for the prevention and loss of information, it has a modern interface that shows in real time the execution of the program which is deployed on different platforms, its integration is one aspect Outstanding as it is compatible with a wide variety of cloud platforms as well as local and mobile platforms, allowing for a greater deployment range, thus improving effectiveness.
What do you dislike?
It can be a bit complex for those people who do not manage a specialized platform, the adaptation period, it is a highly automated platform that is very different from the data protection systems that are normally managed, so it may cost at first to feel comfortable and give you optimal use, but it is only a matter of time to get the most out of it.

Security is a very important aspect for our company, we handle a large amount of information daily through different channels, most of this information is stored in databases in the cloud and contains sensitive data, this data was constantly being attacked by external agents that they used spyware and malware to violate our security systems, causing loss or damage to information, this situation led us to acquire software such as Spirion that gave us solid guarantees to face these problems
What do you like best?
The file shredder is a great feature to permanently delete files from your desktop.
What do you dislike?
It is a little difficult to understand how to use the product at first.
