What do you like best?
I like that I can save load cases and create custom beams with specific section properties.
The workflow is fast. I use this software for quick checks to load cases on existing beams.
What do you dislike?
I wish this were available in an iPhone / iPad app. The web based software works well on a laptop, but it is a bit difficult to use on your phone.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I only use the beam software.
It works really well.
I haven't tried the rest of the modules, but based on the performance of the beams software, I would guess that they work well too.

I use this software to quickly check frame strength.

What are the best aspects of this product?
What makes SkyCiv stand out from programs similar to it is its straightforward nature. I’ve been able to jump in and fully utilize this tool right away, without much need for extensive training. As long as one has the basic understanding of the different methods for analysis, this is a pretty easy tool to work with. Not to mention, there’s always a helpful staff of customer service team willing to answer any queries one might have too. They’re always ready to receive feedback--and surprisingly, implement updates based on those feedbacks. I think it is this level of attentiveness to their users that make them an exceptional team to work with.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
This isn’t a direct complaint against SkyCiv, but the browsers that I run SkyCiv on. I’ve noted that usage can get clunky and freeze up intermittently. I think that browsers should anticipate this amount of data, especially with the advent of more robust cloud-based programs.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
I use SkyCiv mainly to monitor the data that I have on certain projects. This has allowed me to do regular check-ups on works that require a more thorough analysis. We don’t really have this tool at work so I use this at my own discretion. It would be nice if I could convince my bosses to implement this into our workflow. I am confident that our processes would be better with this on our side.

What are the best aspects of this product?
It has been fascinating to watch this company grow from a start-up to what it is now. They initially reached out to me to assist my beam calculations, and I have been using them for many years since then. I really appreciate how each member seems to hold their roles accountable to the growth of their company. They are always eager to help out their users and are willing to listen to feedback, be it positive or negative. On the occasion that the feedback is on the more negative side, they readily see it as an opportunity to grow and to improve. It is this tenacity that makes me confident that SkyCiv would continue to thrive in the industry that they belong in. Kudos to the team and especially to their founder, Sam!
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
I hope that they would roll out a connection calculator soon.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
My company hasn’t rolled out the more higher-end design software to my our department yet. However, this isn’t much of an issue for me because I can easily reach out to SkyCiv and solve common drafting and designing issues myself. It’s great that this is housed on the cloud too because I don’t have to secure special permissions from our IT department just to run this tool on my desk.

What are the best aspects of this product?
I think the appeal of SkyCiv lies in its high-speed response time. It easily processes the data that I load to it and I can get the results in an impressive time. I use this tool mostly to compute beam-related issues and I like how I get all the possible scenarios in return.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
It’s a little hard to search for and employ particular structural features. I want to be able to use tubing and beams directly.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
I’ve been more efficient in computing and solving structural issues on certain projects. I really like how SkyCiv makes my tasks a lot easier.

The best thing about the software is that it is a cloud software, there is no need to install the software. The software almost have all the features that a civil engineer requires. Using SkyCiv various types of Beam, Trusses, Frames, Shafts can be analysed and designed according to various standard codes for different countries. Both 2D and 3D structures can be analysed and designed.
What do you dislike?
There are limited features that are free of cost like Beam solver, section builder, trusses etc. For designing purpose and to use advanced features you need to upgrade your account. But the positive thing is that upgrades are available according to your profession so you can afford them.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
SkyCiv is the most helpful software for those students who don't have their own PC or Laptop. They can save all the work on cloud storage and access anywhere in the world. Simple and very easy to use with every feature, not too much complex like other 3D structural software.

I have solved various types of Beam problem, trusses, frames using this software. It gives detailed solution like a hand written solution for every problem including every step.
