In theory it has the most basic functions of inventory management and connects shipping, management, POS and everything else into one place, except that it doesn’t.

We get so many errors with the inventory management side of this. And nothing talks to this program and we have to use so many 3rd party apps. It also doesn’t connect with UPS in Canada, which is a huge problem because we do business in Canada and if someone orders online and we need to ship it there, we can’t, we have to go in and ship everything manually

Inventory management. We never had one before and we’re growing. We should have went with net suite that’s all encompassing.

What are the best aspects of this product?

There are no pros at all when using this software.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

In the sales call, we were told that we would have a warehouse management system with inventory scanning abilities, but it didn't exist.
Possibly one of the worst support teams I have ever had the pleasure of speaking with. Support took forever to get back to us during the day, and when they DID get back to us, 95% of the time, our initial issue was NOT read correctly or addressed properly. Additionally, talking to support was one of the most stressful things about using their software; it is as if they do not fully read and understand our issue and want to close tickets as fast as possible. It was impossible to get responses that weren't boilerplate "copy-and-paste" templates.
Inventory management discrepancies are very poorly handled. Everyday, we have fluctuating discrepancies for every single SKU. Support told me that this is "normal" and that there is no way around it.
Skubana has costed us more money than it has saved us. Everyday was a new issue.
Analytics modules and inventory value reports were NEVER accurate.
We can't even make transfers from 3PL's/our own warehouse to Amazon's warehouses.
Their forecasting model is just too simple for what we require. There is no flexibility in changing specific variables related to forecasting.
For the first half of our contract, PO templates did not work as how we were told, so we had to do janky workarounds to get it to work.
There is ZERO documentation for a lot of the features they have, which forced us to waste countless hours talking to support.
Now that we have had a terrible experience with Skubana, we want to switch to a real ERP. After talking with them, they will not help us with this and they are forcing us to sign a one year contract and we only need their software for 3 months.
Stay away from this company.

They need to actually stay true to their word as to what they claim to offer.

Simple and straightforward connectivity to ebay and amazon with multi-warehouse support.

Lacking functionality in almost every area. Home page dashboard is useless and not customisable, report/analytics is close to useless without flexibility, filtering and limited export. Extremely limited list of actions you can take on an order eg cannot copy/reship an old order. Limited bulk actions on inventory (eg cannot make a new item live on every channel... need to do it one by one. Limited methods of filtering/sorting views to show just the products you want (strangely, this is different in the product view from the inventory view. Very limited connectivity to multiple channels... its basically an amazon/ebay connector.

An app store was introduced in 2016 to help expand connectivity but has a very limited selection and many of them require significant extra expenditure to the point that other non-Skubana solutions may make more sense.

If you are just on amazon/ebay, then Skubana may be OK for you but if you want more channels or more functionality/features look elsewhere. When I started with Skubana its entry cost was $250/month which was reasonable for the functionality it offered. The price then increased to $500/month and I believe has since gone up again. At this level, there are other solutions that may be more cost effective for you.

Skubana was a great stepping stone when I started out selling on Amazon and eBay but I quickly outgrew it and hit against its limited functionality. My shipping is handled by a 3PL so I did not use the shipping module and I didn't explore the PO module either.

I like how skubana organizes information and lays it out to manage. I like its management functions as well. In theory, everything about Skubana works well for me.

In day to day use Skubana frequently spends a lengthy amount of time processing information or will not complete tasks. It often crashes mid task and freezes as well. It's a product I would enjoy more if I didn't have to do so many things twice.

I think that this is a good product to use but there are times when it runs slowly and crashes.

The management of our large inventory with a system that is intuitive and pretty easy to use from the start, aside for time issues.
