Don't do it.

Scalefactor has been a headache since day one. When I started with it over a year ago, it really felt like it was a beta version. There is a long list of problems that required a big investment of my time to resolve. The contacts there seemed overworked and were slow to respond. Just a few of the significant issues:

1. Can't sync with my bank accounts so they constantly requested me to manually upload statements, event after they had "fixed" the problem. I now use a different platform that worked the first time and continues to work for less than half the price.

2. The upload of documents is primitive. It just files them in one big box. This resulted in emails from them asking me to upload docs they already had.

3. Slow. You have to request a financial statement at the end of the month and it may take days to get it. Every other platform prepares it and lets you know if they need anything to get it done, and it is usually there in a short period of time without having to ask for it.

4. The starting price is misleading. I have a small business with minimum needs and the least I could get it for was $500 per month with a year long committment.

5. I contacted Sr. Management about problems and they were slow to respond with no meaningful follow up. They fired my main contact, who seemed overwhelmed. Nothing much changed.

I could go on, but you get the idea.

Business operations, especially on COGS side for smaller product companies - what additional supporting infrastructure is needed (inventory, etc) to ensure accurate accounting processes.

Load of accounting and financial reconciliation on our team - nice to have a trusted partner support this for a smaller company.

As a small company I had one bookkeeper. If he got sick or took time off, I had no one. Scale Factor gives me access to a team.
