What do you like best?
There is nothing I like about SAP. Almost anything else would be better.
What do you dislike?
All tasks are performed with completely unintuitive codes like MD04. Many of the functions have multiple terms to refer to the same thing.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're in clinical trials, this is the wrong tool. I can't speak to other uses.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
SAP is the problem. I'm told that the Finance people can pull better metrics from it. How nice for them.
What do you like best?
Not something in particular. Online version could be something but it offers poor Ux too.
What do you dislike?
Awful UI, especially on the online version. Not intuitive at all. Hard to carry out a process in a usual way. High learning curve. It is hard to say if an actual UI Designer was eventually engaged to the deployment of the front-end. Too complicated, several non-sense menus always there. It is like it was designed on late 90s.

It’s a capable database platform. That’s all.
What do you dislike?
Heavy, not stable, not user friendly. Design reminds me mid-eighties. I can’t say who define the functionalities but they have nothing in common with the real-life business. If we need to generate a simple sales management report (e.g. sales per account by product group) first you pay fortune to consultants and at the end you get a table that need to be reworked for two hours in order to make it useful.

Just don’t. Use something else. Even Excel is a better option.

What do you like best?
SAP is a powerful software in that it can handle a lot of data and brings together every step in a manufacturing business (i.e., from component purchases through customer billing, etc.)
What do you dislike?
SAP is ridiculously difficult to work with. To start, the standard GUI is not visually appealing at all, and is often not even functional (i.e., a screen will only show 6 line items, a dialog box will be too small to show all text so you have to scroll right, etc.) In order to work in SAP, you need to know tons of "technical" language such as transaction codes and other specifics that are not intuitive or available to see in the software. Additionally, field names/column headers in SAP are notoriously vague or sometimes will appear differently in different locations even if they are pulling from the same user-entered data. While SAP is a powerful software, it is light years behind the software of today with regard to ease of use.

As I mentioned, SAP is powerful and does allow our organization to bring all aspects of our business together. I appreciate that we do not have a separate system for accounting, etc.
What do you like best?
It's hard to say but SAP products allow organizations to make their own protocols inside the SAP structure. These standards set the parameters for adequate and unsuitable exchanges. basically, it saves our organization a lot of cash; this remaining part is true for both small and large businesses.
What do you dislike?
A LOT. the complexity built with the software product. Also, if you type anything remotely wrong when inserting the inventory it is hard to tell what you messed up. That is normally when you have to start your count all over and backtrack. Most organizations execute one component or capacity of the product at any given moment, enabling representatives to pick up familiarity with the product before pushing ahead. The total usage procedure may take several years.

Simplify the system! It runs slow on some of our desktop computers in our sales office also
