Seems to be a scam site, digging for data with the promise of paid interviews which never happen

I did a study back in Sept. 2019. They tell you it takes 8-10 business days(2 weeks) to receive your payment after you do a study. My Respondent account shows I was paid by the researcher. But I never received my payment. So I contact the researcher and he stated to me that on their end they sent out the payment. I email Respondent and they looked into it and stated that they would have to reissue my payment and it would take another 8-10 days as well. Never received payment. Then they said they would send it directly to my PayPal account, and I verified with Paypal support that there were no pending payments from Respondent. When I reach out to Respondent, they kept giving me the run-a-round. Now it's January of 2020 and I again contacted the researcher to make sure they actually paid me. They verified they paid me and emailed Respondent themselves to help me with the issue. I've emailed over 20 times to Respondent and now they are not responding to my emails at all. I plan on taking legal action against Respondent.

Edit: I was contacted over a week ago and told that payment would be sent the following Friday, 1/17/2020, but per usual NOTHING was paid and I am still being ignored.I have contacted Respondent 3 or 4 times about unpaid research I completed! I emailed them in December to inform them that I was not marked as attending the study. I was told to contact the researcher and I did. the researcher was online and received my message, but did not respond. After the 6-10 days quoted for payment, I reached out to Respondent again and was told they'd contact the researcher, Clara. A few days went by and still nothing so I emailed again about unpaid research and was told from their support team I would hear back soon, one month later and I have not heard anything! Don't even bother to signup, they can't be trusted. You'll be disappointed and the one person running support will be of no assistance to you.

I completed my “In-home interview” in early Dec and was told my payment would take 8-10 days via paypal...its now Jan 25th and I still haven’t been paid. Initially, my emails and concerns were met with an immediate response but now, over a month later, I’m being ghosted. Apparently, after reading these reviews, I am not the only one. I’m sorry for everyone who got caught up in this mess. I’m embarrassed I took this company at their word and naively allowed FIVE TOTAL STRANGERS into my home for a two hour recorded interview filled with countless personal questions and footage taken of my home and my pets. To add insult to injury, my interview was initially set for Dec 9th but was changed by the researcher to Dec 10th which happened to be a work day for me. However, the payout was substantial enough I felt it was worth taking a half day off work to participate. (Yeah, I know...I’m a smart one. ????) So, over a month of numerous emails (mostly on my part) and claims of “payment sent” and, most recently, “payment resubmitted” and I am STILL waiting for my money.Needless to say, I should’ve done my homework on this company - it could’ve saved me a lot of hassle and frustration if i’d only read these reviews before signing up.

I unfortunately have not had a good experience with Respondent io. Taking the surveys to qualify for the tests are very time consuming, often very repetitive with the info for each survey. After a lot of time taking surveys I was finally accepted for one with Intel - a company with a net worth of $200 billion that 1) was 15 min late to the interview 2) never paid me a measly $50 after I gave them a REALLY in-depth feedback of their beta product and went over-time on the interview. Respondent doesn't really do anything about it - out of 4-5 emails I sent to them, they replied to one but then crickets. I understand as a startup perhaps they have growing pains but come on, at least respond to emails - it should not even occur that large corporations do not pay participants what is promised. I definitely would NOT recommend them and honestly I do not really look too favorably on Intel at this point either.
