What do you like best?
For an online spreadsheet shared by a team or various people, Qup is slow..and I mean REALLY slow. I've used it on site an via VPN and it is just SO SLOW. There's really nothing good about it.
What do you dislike?
It. Is. SLOW!!! It is very unresponsive and when it is, it can take a mind of its own and do things that you didn't plan to do. I've been in situations where I have made updates and comments and then gone back the next day and all my information has been deleted. The tools, i.e. background color, text font, etc....hardly work. At. All.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Consider another on-line collaboration spreadsheet. Quip is terrible.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Please read above about problems. It is EXTREMELY buggy. I wonder why we're using it. SmartSheet would be so much better. There are no benefits.

I like that the tool is collaborative and multiple teammates can use it
What do you dislike?
I do not like the formatting restrictions that Quip limits users to. The controls and navigation are not intuitive to quickly grasp for new members

Try out using other collaboration tools such as Google Office

Some companies prefer to use Quip over other collaboration tools because of historical usage, but there are better tools out there

Nothing really. This is a simple concept but not carried out well

low control over symbols, mathematics, latex, etc.

worse than google docs if you care about math and equations

i did not like anything good about using quip

it becomes extremely slow if multiple people are working on the same sheet. You have wider changes in losing information when multiple users are editing at the same time
