App literally has 2 options. Neither of which bring me anything.Website version isnt easy to follow even after watching the videos. Why would I pay you per client when it fornst cost you any extra for me to have them in the system? Doesnt tell you how to get your first online client.Doesnt make it easier at all ..I'd rather make a google doc sheet and handwrite all if the tracking and progression then use this system.

I felt it only fair to write this review of P.T Distinction after recently ceasing with their program.I will say from the start that this is "My personal experience" with Matt and Stewart of P.T Distinction, yours may indeed be different (but I dont really see how)I would also like to point out that both are nice guys.I joined up with P.T.D after a chat with Matt about how they would be able to help me get back on track, get back in shape and be able to use their service to help me with diet, nutrition and exercise particularly when I would be away working and staying in hotels where I was unable to prepare food nor have access to a gym.I paid for the cheaper option which was using Stewart at a cost of £1,800 as opposed to using Matt at a cost of £2,500 for a 16 week course.I took various (Before) pictures which would be then compared on a weekly basis as we progressed.I will say at this point that I had not trained for approximately 4-5 months since the initial lock downand as such my initial training was with particularly light weights.I was given an introduction at the very beginning of the course to an endocrinologist with a view to gettingon a course of TRT (Testosterone) to further promote and enhance my training. (As it turns out this was the most useful part of the entire course)I was given a basic training / exercise plan with videos and pictures taken from a 3rd party site. I was given a Nutrition plan which consisted of a specific number of : Calories, Protein, Carbs, Fats and Iwas to use a 3rd party App (MyFitnessPal) to track and weigh my food every meal.Over the following weeks the calorie count reduced a little each week. There were a couple of PDFs which showed good and bad foods to eat. Each week I had to fill in a form to say how I felt, if I was happy, sad, hungry, if anyone had commentedon my progress etc for that week. The answers for this form never really changed from week 1.Every Sunday I would attend a call whereby we would go through:1) My form (a couple of minutes max as nothing new was ever on there)2) My Pictures for that week (amazingly there was a noticeable improvement from week 1 and every subsequent week)3) My Nutrition changes for the following week (1 minute max "Dropping your calories by 100" type of conversation)4) My body measurements for the week. These calls would last for maybe 5-10 minutes or so. That is pretty much it until the following Sunday when the same scenario played out again. Now Whilst I understand it is the trainers job to throw compliments out at an early stage to motivate the client, make a point of how well the course is working, not to mention justifying the fact that you have paid £1,800 forthis.I did think that for the first few weeks whereby I was using 10 -20 Kg weights, being told there was a noticeable improvement in my physique seemed scarcely credible, particularly as I a) had eyes, b) had a mirror, c) had a girlfriend asking me if I was actually lifting weights. This continued for the following few weeks where by all accounts I was showing massive improvements each week on my pictures (?) and measurements and where the calorie count would be marginally reduced. Also every 3 - 4 weeks the exercise program would change slightly. So with all of this in mind, within a month or so of getting started, I began to think that, in effect I was basically paying £100 per Sunday night phone call which didnt really make me happy, nor did it seem to be good Value for Money. What I actually got from this whole experience was:1) An exercise plan which I could have got from a local trainer at my gym for maximum of £100 or an equal or better exercise plan for free off the internet. 2) A nutrition plan which I could have got a FAR superior one from my local nutritionist for £150 with far moreinformation, advice and tips.3) An introduction to and Endocrinologist - which was good but not worth £1,800 for an introduction. Now - Have I achieved results since I started - YES I have. The thing is, I have got results because I started training again after 5 months of no training and I am takinga shot of Testosterone every 10 days - Of course the "After" pics look better than the "Before", they would have doneregardless of any connection with P.T.DAfter a couple of months or so I informed the guys that I was no longer going to continue with the course due to the fact that I had spent thousands of pounds on a course which I could have got for free online or from a local sourcefor a dramatically lower price and as such was extremely disappointed to the point of feeling conned.I was informed that the reason for the cost was in effect due to the letters that each of them had after their names by way of qualificationTo Be Continued

My Disappointing Personal Experience Pt 2This is a continuation of the original Review below as I was unable to fit everything in, nor continue with the post.........One of the reasons I started with PTD was to help and assist me at the times when I was away from home working and therefore unable to prepare food nor attend a gym. I was reminded of this fact during our final call and so I asked exactly what they would or could have done during those periods to help me.I was advised that although nothing could really have been done "Whilst" I was away they could have made up for it on my return?!I commented that I would have done exactly the same thing with or without them, I would simply train and eat right when I got back home and had access to food preparation and a gym - but I was again informed that because of the "letters at the end of the names" it would have been a specificway of catching back up ? (Something we shall never know I guess)SO in short and to sum up my experience and my recommendation to anyone thinking of utilising the training and nutrition services of P.T.D. I can wholeheartedly say - "Save your Money" This service is not EVER worth £1,800 and even moreso not worth £2,500 regardless of any letters after names. You will get as much or even more from a local trainer / nutritionist who potentially will also have letters after their name but who can offer far more than a £100 phone call every Sunday to tell you how much you have progressed.Just in closing, I contacted Matt to ask if there was a chance of any form of refund based on my personal experience with them?I was advised that "Unfortunately as stated in the contract this is a non refundable service as agreed."I replied asking "Why it is non refundable - the product has cost no money to you"Unfortunately I never recieved a response nor heard from them again. It is the infamous "Terms and Conditions" / "Small Print" scenario and once you have been lured in by promises of gaining the physique andresults that you are seeking WITHOUT the need of any form of cardio (although when they get you to below 2000 calories per day - they will actually start including cardio?) Then the deal is sealed and regardless of whether or not you are happy with the serviceprovided or indeed whether you think you have been conned into spending thousands, it makes no difference because guess what - "YOU AINT GETTING NOTHING BACK MATE!!"Please take from this Review what you will but Please think very carefully before paying out thousands of pounds to get a training plan from PTD when you can get just as good if not better for FREE online.

Please keep in mind I use this software mostly for nutrition coaching, not necessarily personal training so I can't speak to the workout feature as much. PROS: PT Distinction has many awesome features. I love the in-app messaging component (with the ability to schedule messages) as well as the ability to send emails, I love that I can use groups to add trainings to clients' accounts easily, I love I can set up ANY nutrition habits custom to each client, and I love the MFP integration. If it was based on features alone, I would give PTD 5 stars. Once you get the hang of it, it's an EASY software to use and makes client management easy which is fantastic.CONS: My biggest issue with PTD is customer service/support, and the inconsistent phone notifications for both the android and the iPhone apps. Bear with me and I'll break this down:Support -- I understand that technology will always have issues, but it's how PTD responds to these issues that bothers me. PTD offers a Facebook group where you can ask questions, but any time I ask if other users are also experiencing a possible issue (so I can understand if the issue is my phone or the software), my post gets banned. I love having that group and I've learned a lot from being in it, and the founders of PTD are incredibly response which is amazing! However, I feel that banning any post that gives feedback, or comes across as slightly negative, or a identifying a potential "issue" while looking for support isn't helpful for the customer. When I reach out to PTD's support via email, they never offer to look into the issue in their initial response. They are quick to blame the user in their initial response (examples I've received: phone settings not being correct, or the video being too large to send in-app, etc...) Almost every time I've reached out to Matt via email in the past, the end result was an issue within PTD, NOT my phone settings/video size, etc. Again, I understand that many times PTD needs to cover their bases and be sure notifications are turned on, videos are the correct size, etc... But to continually have to email back and forth numerous times when there's a potential issue is frustrating and time consuming. Maybe PTD can come up with a troubleshooting blog post or manual of things to try if something isn't working, and then reach out to support if they've tried those and it's not fixed?Notifications -- A huge draw to me choosing PTD was because of the smartphone notifications. My clients love having reminders to check off daily tasks, as well as notifications when they receive messages. Unfortunately, the notifications are spotty at best for all types of phones. Some days some clients get them, other days they don't, some clients always receive them, some clients never receive them. Other clients receive a few but not all. I am sure to walk clients through all steps to be sure notifications are turned on, so that's not the issue. I really hope an app update is coming soon to stabilize these issues. In the past few weeks I've been trialing a few other softwares to see if I want to switch, and one thing I've noticed is that many other softwares are adding new features at a rate much higher than PTD. While I LOVE many of their features, there are definitely some features and integrations (apple health, garmin, etc) that are lacking. I do wish both the app and website were a little more sleek looking compared to the apps of their competitors. This was long, but I wanted to share my honest experience. PTD has saved me hours of time and has really enhanced my coaching on multiple levels, but if the support doesn't improve and if the apps don't become more stable for notifications, I'm not sure how long I will stay with them.

What do you like best?

My biggest concern when I was deciding on the software was how easily my clients could use it. I've worked with many individuals in-person and providing them a program to complete on their own is hard enough so I wanted to make sure they will not encounter any issue accessing their information. Fortunately, to this day I have not had any issues or confusion on how to navigate and use PT Distinction.

What do you dislike?

The software provides many exercises with videos which I think is absolutely amazing however programming is unique to each individual and although there are plenty of exercises many others that are quite common are not included. You do have the option to add a custom exercise and add a video but I wish PT Distinction would regularly add different exercises, variations, and options to better fit their client's needs.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I am able to provide my long-distance clients with programs that guide them step-by-step, and help them achieve their goals independently.
