OneSky allows users to easily manage their end-to-end localisation, right from preparation to deployment. User companies’ employees can also use it as a communication platform. It can save a lot of time for users that they are spending sending emails back and forth. With OneSky, users and employees can communicate directly and if they are adding comments, their history can be tracked down. The platform comes with various useful tools, such as glossary tools, screenshot management and on-device testing tools. These tools assist users to translate their texts without losing their context.

Applied for a customer service position at this company. Got a polite email asking me to answer 5 questions based on their site, help section and personal knowledge. Spent a few hours doing my best and replied with a thorough email. Followed up a week later and haven't heard anything since. Can't speak for the product but if this is how they treat potential employees you can be sure their customer service is not up to scratch either.

I used this service for a very long time as it's free to manage translations and their paid services are reasonable. However, it's pain to manage contributors. It's clearly not designed for projects with volunteer translators. It's also pain to keep uploading/downloading XML files. There is no advanced review process nor the QA processes. As a single person responsible for translations and development, I wasn't able to keep track of recent changes to translations and it was pain to identify and eliminate harmful ones. As the service is free, it seems that they don't care about anything else than just selling paid services.I recently switch to Localazy which solves the problems described above.

I appreciate how easy it was for us to translate within the tool. Even better, we could just as easily have any of the tool's professional translators help us out with translations. The combination of these two things helped us come up with our products that are available in several languages.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Overall, these problems aren't a big deal, but I do wish the interface was more intuitive. Navigating to key areas can get confusing, and so does figuring out which languages need to be refreshed because the core language changed.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

When our product became popular and started drawing international attention, it became necessary for us to translate from English to other several languages. This tool was a really big help in that process and has made it easier for us to sell our products to other markets with languages different from ours. We don't even have to worry if a language is not supported by this tool because we can ask for a price quote and they will work on translating it once an agreed price is set

What are the best aspects of this product?

I firmly believe that using OneSky has helped us reduce our translation expenses by more than 70 percent, which is a massive deal for the company. Instead of hiring third party translators, we now do all the work by ourselves. Translating our work into a wide choice of international languages is not a joke. We had to learn how the software works from scratch, but it is all worth our effort at the end of the day.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

The product can be quite challenging to navigate, especially if you are new to translation. It takes a higher level of expertise to use OneSky efficiently, especially if you need to translate your material into several languages all at the same time. It takes a while to get used to it, and I’m glad that I’m way past the adjustment period.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Our product has started growing fast for the past years. So we decided to find a way to reach more audiences in other parts of the world, including South America, Asia, and Europe. One of the things that we should do is to provide multi-lingual translations into our page. Aside from English, we had to offer different options to build a connection with our clients quickly. We are glad that we decided to give this project a push because our sales tripled for the last nine months. Using OneSky is so convenient, practical, and it produces your desired results.
