What are the best aspects of this product?

I have been using NetApp for over three years now and it has never disappointed me. It is an affordable solution for storing large amounts of data in the cloud and it even helps us cut costs when it comes to power.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

It can be time-consuming to search for a particular file in the backup system. Plus, the recovery time itself is too long.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

With the data deduplication, we eliminated redundant files and saved on space. The thin provisioning function also streamlined our provisioning process. On top of that, FlexClose is a huge benefit to our development workflows.

This solution offers SnapMirror and SnapVault, which are top choices in the market for backup and recovery.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

The MetroCluster module needs additional improvements.

What are the best aspects of this product?

I stopped using tapes as soon as our organization decided to implement NetApp Backup and Recovery. It has been several years now and I still am in awe of the Snapshot function because of its extreme reliability.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I would like to see more reporting tools related to the snapshot feature. Moreover, the manager interface is not user-friendly, though SnapProtect is worse.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

Our IT team has an easier time dealing with recovery because we can choose individual files rapidly. The experience is the same when we are restoring our virtual machines.

What are the best aspects of this product?

I like that there are multiple options for backup such as a snapmirror and a snapvault. This lets us control our budget well because we can settle for affordable disks without risking data loss.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

It would be great if the replication function is enhanced. Other than that, I have no issues with this software.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

This has enabled us to restore specific emails with Microsoft Exchange.

The interface is pleasing to the eyes, which makes it easier for us to complete our tasks related to this software.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

There are moments when the interface takes too long to respond to an action or request. Plus, it can be problematic to run on other operating systems like Linux.

What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?

NetApp backup and recovery tool is better compared to other software we have tried previously.
