What do you like best?
I like the fact that the system is very flexible into customizing different work flows. Also, the PDF editor is phenomenal.
What do you dislike?
That there are no reminder notifications for each stage - I believe this is a feature that they are working on, do once it is implemented it would be great!!

Organization and visibility across the team.
What do you like best?
The Mintent dashboard and content calendar is a great way to easily manage and organize the content your team has in production. The content library has a nice filter feature that allows you to sift through your company's content and find exactly what you're looking for. Plus, it's cheaper than other tools that serve the same purpose.
What do you dislike?
Assigning tasks could use a bit of a redesign. There's a bit of a learning curve when trying to create a job for someone to do. Mintent requires a lot of team adoption in order to be useful. In order to keep track of everything, everyone needs to use the tool. As we know, not everyone will be on-board right away so my advice is spend some time getting everyone up to speed. Also, the UI is a little bit of an eyesore. The email notifications are also a little tough to get the hang of. A few team members received way too many notifications so we had to dial that back a little bit with customization.
Recommendations to others considering the product
Focus on getting everyone on the team to use the tool. If people go back to asking for content via email because it's easier, it defeats the purpose of Mintent's organizational functions. And don't forget to customize your email notifications or your inbox might get flooded.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We now have an easy to use content library to keep track of all our e-books, whitepapers, data sheets, blog posts, the list goes on and on. It's a great tool to log updates and find the newest versions of content. Before we signed on with Mintent, our content was all over the place. We had PDFs in shared drives and emails, now everything's all in one convenient place. Furthermore, we've streamlined our content creation process by assigning tasks through Mintent and sending out task notifications.
What do you like best?
Very simple to use & support is great. Most needs that are not available are usually integrated into the tool.
What do you dislike?
Wish there was more functionality and capability, specifically better integration into other tools.

The markup function in the software isn't great. We typically have to download PDFs, make comments, then re-upload them.

Mintent keeps projects structures so that every step in the process is followed and the right people are involved. It coordinates several cross-functional teams which is great for a large company. It also has helped us prioritize projects by being able to see deadlines since they all are submitted in one platform versus separate emails to various people
What do you like best?
I appreciate the Mintent team's responsiveness to client feedback or any issues we may be facing. They respond almost immediately and are truly solution-focused providers. They also keep us updated on any new features they've added that they know will be valuable to our team to help us work more efficiently. Through the reporting features of Mintent we've been able to understand the types of work our team contributes to including on an individual level. Gaining this level of visibility helps with future planning from a roles and responsibilities standpoint.
What do you dislike?
A challenge for our internal business partners who are part of Mintent review and workflows is that there is not single sign on. They would rather Mintent be accessible without having to log in separately. It would also be helpful to be able to review a document in a cloud so everyone could access and mark up with edits (word docs and pdfs) in one document instead of having to upload multiple documents for each step of the review process with each person's individual edits. The team would also prefer all employees had access to Mintent for submitting Marketing requests company wide. Currently, if we receive a requests from someone in the company who is not a Mintent user, it's submitted via email and one of us Mintent users enters a job in Mintent on their behalf. Reviewing of the project must then be handled with some things happening in Mintent and some things happening outside Mintent.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
I'd recommend Mintent to any team struggling to manage their projects and requests, planning their content calendars or setting up workflows as well as review and approval processes. Mintent has helped us understand the volume of work being produced by our team and the value the team brings to the organization based on the type of projects being completed. Having Mintent helps keep us organized, allows us to strategically plan our communications and holds all users accountable for reviewing projects and completing them within deadline. Having a process in place allows us all to work more efficiently and effectively across departments.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Mintent has allowed us to create a standard process for team members and internal business partners to submit requests. We no longer need to keep track of requests via email where many requests were lost and not prioritized. Mintent allows us to prioritize our projects based on need, deadline and content calendar. Being able to get a calendar view of our projects based on audience has helped us strategically plan our communications. We've also been able to ensure all projects have gone through the appropriate approval process by adding our key stakeholders to the review process. From a workload management standpoint, Mintent has helped us disperse projects where we have resource availability. We use Mintent in our weekly project status meetings with the team to ensure all projects are on track and being completed within deadline. Mintent has also helped bring to light the value of the Marketing team by being able to pull reports on projects completed. Most recently, Mintent has help us raise awareness to leadership of all covid-19 related projects our team has taken on. By tagging all related projects to a campaign we were able to easily create a report that highlighted the type of projects and sheer volume of projects our team worked on related to covid-19 marketing and communications.
