What do you like best?
Kounta stands out as a restaurant POS system because of its compatibility with different platforms and POS equipment, as well as its multiple features that help you run your restaurant smoothly and efficiently. While it's missing some of the features we looked for, particularly in order management, this solution ranks well in our review of restaurant POS systems. Allows me to add/remove staff pretty easily.
What do you dislike?
Australian software that doesn't recognize that Canadian currency no longer uses the penny. While Kounta doesn't alert you when your inventory is low, it does track your supplies at the ingredient level. When you receive supplies, you can enter them into the system with a handheld barcode scanner, which many restaurant employees find convenient and timesaving.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you require any remote or on-site assistance, you’ll be referred to a Kounta partner instead of working directly with a Kounta representative, which is an inconvenience. These third-party services may charge extra for their technical support, so keep that in mind if you have a tight budget. APIs are available for custom integrations, but only with Extend, the highest-tier program.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Perfect accounting of whats selling. Trends and such. Kounta offers many of the features we looked for in restaurant POS software, and it's suitable for use by both full- and counter-service restaurants. It's missing some features, like reservation and delivery management, but if your restaurant doesn’t accept reservations or make deliveries, this shouldn’t deter you. Kounta offers many high-quality features specifically for restaurants, making it a good restaurant POS system.

The go to platform for the industry!
Great timely support with the necessary features to run my restaurant. Access to reporting remotely and the ability to adjust products, inventory and automatic promotions with ease.
What do you like best?
Kounta is really smart, helpful and intuitive, it knows what it needs to do and is sleek, minamilistic but modern whilst keeping it modern and streamlining any process. We use it along with TYRO and find that they both work really well together whilst keeping the process to a minimum.
What do you dislike?
The app interface does lag at times and does take about 10 seconds to send a signal to the cash register. I also wish that there could be a dark mode so that all the images,tiles and menus standout in such a bright environment.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ask for a trial and see how you can implement it in your workplace. It is an amazing piece of software that requires little improvement required. if you have previously used or considered using any other software, look into kounta, its affordable and easy to adjust too.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
I believe that it is solving the most common problem of having to many programs fro the same job. I also believe that it stops the requirement of having to calculate discounts because it has that function built in.
