I started an free account as a trial, invited friends and got 10GB of space. After I copied all of my files to the space (around 9GB), all of a sudden the space went back to 2GB. I realized this when files where missing when syncing to my laptop. So I lost 7GB of my files without any notification at all! Luckily I still had a backup of these files and was able to retrieve them. I also haven't received any message why my space was being limited to 2GB, even though I wrote to support. No way I will use this service anymore when you cannot 100% rely on all of your files being stored.Reply on Koofr:100% incorrect. The 10GB space was filled with various pictures and documents. Only after syncing them with the laptop, I saw they were missing.In any case where does it state that when friends are deleting their account, you also lose your extra space? From your website: You and your friend will receive 2 GB extra (forever) free space when they accept the invite and start using Koofr.Your actions would indicate you could never rely on this extra space and should hope your friends keep their account. So forever is not forever.And where was the message or notification on all this?Reply #2:What a way to treat a customer. I wanted to get a subscription after having a trial of the service, but instead it resulted in a request for removal of my account. Way to go Koofr!The reason for one star is because online storage should be reliable. Always and 100%. In your case it is not. It might happen that space is being removed from your account without receiving any notification at all. Reliability and communication is everything, especially in cloud storage.I see data loss happened to another person as well, luckily I still had a backup myself.Reply #3:Ah wow, Koofr decided to remove both of their previous replies and write a complete new one. Classy. If only you would have put all this effort in simply contacting me before you decided to remove 8GB from my space, you would still have a (probably paying) customer.Instead I have to find out myself that files are missing when I'm in the middle of uploading 9GB of important and personal files to the Koofr webspace. And only find out the reason when I contact you and write a bad review on Trustpilot.And the first thing you do is accusing me of doing something illegal (written about me in 3rd person). This is also an unacceptable move for me and this low level of service and communication reflects on your product.I'm not convinced you are really sorry to see me leave, else you would have approached it differently. Anyway, I'm happy I didn't spend money just yet, and will find another, reliable provider with a good service. Just wanted to warn others that if Koofr only thinks you are doing something illegal (there goes your privacy), you could have storage space removed from your account without any warning. Or even have your account deleted completely (including all of your files!) as stated in their latest reply.

I have now been using Koofr for around 6mths and have over this time frame noticed files missing, thinking it was myself having made errors on the laptop, today all that changed when I noticed a Commercial Account File containing over 30 files has gone with no sign either on the Cloud or on the 2 linked laptops.Time to move on, what is the point of using a backup that clearly does not work.i draw breath here having moved from a Toshiba Hardrive Storage Unit which Failed us to Koofr, I am once again searching for a better solution.Mr Spence EngRESPONSE TO KOOFR Front Desk, please be aware that issues have been ongoing with missing files for 6mths where I would open a Folder to find all the files gone!!! At that time my account was now where near it's limitation.Now I am enterng the Missing FOLDERS STAGE Where EARLY Storeded Folders; dated 2017, 2018, 2019 and the last FOLDER added Jan 2020, have vanished on the Cloud, Laptops and not showing in the BIN Folder either.Anyway you like to view this, it is not good.Mr Spence Eng

Started with a free account and later move to a paid account...Here are my thoughts:Pros:1) Reliable (so far)2) Only one with customisable (partial) short links for upload and download. very handy if you just want to upload to your cloud storage quickly without need to login to your account first (especially when you have 2FA set up)3) Good but not great customer support ( read no.3 below)4) Simple, straightforward. No frills. Most importantly functional.5) Able to access Onedrive, Google drive, Dropbox. Hope they add others as well. (pcloud, box) Cons:1) Did not specify bandwidth. I asked but they refused to tell. I wish they would be more transparent and open about this.2) If you live in Asia, speed is not satisfactory. I had to use a VPN to have a decent upload/download speed. 3) Only way to contact them is via support ticket (quite supportive, for now). No intercom. No phone support, No chat assistance. They can be quite rigid and sometimes does'nt take your recommendation for new features. They will end your suggestion with ....." ....this is not in our plan" which is quite frustrating at times.4) Lack of productivity integration like Ms Office editor, just text editor5) No business/team account for collaboration6) No shareable account ..eg family account.7) Limited branding option. only able to add logo. I guess they dont want you to use for business purpose? I am not sure.Do i recommend Koofr?Yes....Hope they continue to improve and gain more support in the future.Many cloud storage doesn't last because they just refuse to improve and add new features after some time. Will eventually lose out to competitors.For now, if you want a simple, personal and straight forward cloud service to store and share data, Koofr is good at that because it is just functional.But if you need extra features like MS office integration. Look elsewhere.

I have bought a 1TB account in a special offer and can say it is one of the better cloud storage services. Specially love that it is in europe and that they have no tracking (according to my ublock origin).The support was quick to answer my questions over email, even before I bought, and I found a lot of helpful info on their blog. I especially like the webdav feature.
