What do you like best?
The onboarding process was terrific - very thorough and comprehensive. Made us think through some things we otherwise may not have. The training was virtual, but quite helpful. The product is generally user-friendly and enjoyable to navigate. Support is responsive and pleasant, even when unhelpful (see "dislike" section). Changes to layout of homepages is easy - could be done by someone with no HTML experience. The people are very nice.
What do you dislike?
The calendar function is terrible: there is no support for recurring events and sometimes, events disappear. Once when daylight saving time hit, every event was off by one hour. I found out later there was "a script that could be run to correct this," but had already taken the time to manually update each event.
Support is responsive and as helpful as they can be, but a bit too often, the answer is, "I'm sorry but that isn't possible."
Daily email digest function is VERY limited and lacks customization options.
No ability to set pages to *not* expire (other than setting the expire date to the year 2099).
There is a customer portal/site where customers can submit ideas and suggest features. Some very popular suggestions have been acknowledged, but remain unimplemented 4-5 years later.

Employee Communication. After a lot of work customizing and hacking together, the resulting site looks much nicer than our previous intranet.
What do you like best?
I enjoy that I can quickly upload content with ease, this being especially helpful for quick news updates that I need to push out on the platform. This also helps with making amendments to company policy documents hosted on our site.
The improvement to the social aspect of our company has been noticed after the implementation of the Intranet. People can put names to faces far easier, and our network team can start to recognise the support staff at our head office after their posting of necessary info.
What do you dislike?
There is somewhat of a lack of support for CSS widgets, but we have been able to do just fine with Rich HTML Text.
There has been some problems with the scaling of images in the more GUI-friendly areas of the site. This has for the most part not been an issue, but from an visual point of view it is something I'd like to fix

I'd recommend the service based on my experience with it's ease of access and great customer support team who have helped me on a number of occasions.

Interact have helped my business in ensuring our 64-strong branch network receive the most up-to-date news, policies/processes and other business-related information.
Additionally it has allowed for greater representation of our branches in a space which their colleagues across the UK can access.
What do you like best?
The ease of use for non-technical people is a great benefit of the system and administrating it is pretty quick and easy, allowing time to be more creative in other areas. It has some wonderful features like the Room & Resource Bookings, Form Approvals, Staff Directory, Teams and Timeline and love the additional quizzes and sports challenges for staff. There is a lot of features for a reasonable cost. The Community pages are great and the Support goes above and beyond.
What do you dislike?
Some features take a long time to be enhanced/improved which can get frustrating, but I understand that sometimes priorities lie elsewhere. More design flexibility of system and digest in administrator hands would be of huge benefit to adoption too.

Go with Public Cloud straight away as more access to features and faster upgrades.

Internal communication is always an issue for us as we are a global company and offices can feel silo'd. Interact allows us to easily communicate what we require with added flexibility to hide what we don't wish to show per office. The system is pretty basic and intuitive meaning training and onboarding is pretty easy.
What do you like best?
The functionality - there is a lot of different options to connect with your employees and it has been built by people who actually know what people want and need from an Intranet

It is not very intuitive. The training is a slog and you forget things quick because there are lots of options.

What do you like best?
Interact is really robust software and as a company they regularly ask for user feedback to continually improve the SaaS. Changes are integrated slowly and seamlessly, great for users and admins!
What do you dislike?
Our server is closed and access is really strict, this can make applying updates difficult, but support staff is always great and able to help me overcome any struggles we encounter.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Transitioning content to Interact was intense, but once all our content was loaded, day-to-day management became a breeze! Some users were reluctant to take ownership of their content, but easy WYSIWYGs made training easy.

We had an outdated intranet that was updated by a single user or two - since transitioning to Interact we were able to enlist thought leaders in specific fields to manage their areas of expertise. This has led to more accurate and updated across the Intranet, and by proxy, more users going to the Intranet as a valuable resource.
