What do you like best?

Has good data visualizations and easy to consume dashboards

What do you dislike?

Terrible customer service. We were poorly implemented and when I set up a call to discuss they failed to join the meeting. After convincing I set up a re-implementation call - which they cancelled the night before with no reply.

Most of what they can do you can build native in SFDC

The simple dashboard reporting for the tool and what we perceived would be a great tool for reporting for all levels of the company.

Lack of customer support and responsiveness.

Reporting ad tracking metrics was/is a key issue for my client. We were impressed with the tool initially with it's clear format. Once we subscribed, we experienced poor support and we not able to customize the tool for our needs.

Great analytics platform. you can create and modify your own reports and keep track of metrics and future projections. It is a very powerful tool that we have used since they came onto the market. I believe we were their first customers

What do you dislike?

I wish that the metric reports would refresh more frequently. Sometimes it takes a few hours to get an update on your metrics when it would be great to get real time updates on your progress on the day. Besides that I really like all the functions.

Leaderboards and the potential to provide solutions SF cannot and/or in a better, more intuitive way.

What do you dislike?

Not intuitive. Labeling not consistent w/SF. Requires post-sale support to get what is needed. Support is slow and inconsistent w/slow progress seemingly due to lack of support infrastructure. Delays due to having to set up meetings that require scheduling follow up meetings and sending requests back and forth through email/support tickets. Can't just pick up the phone and get the help you need. The execs at our co gave up trying and now hard to justify renewal at the end this year when we could likely get what we need from SF for less money.

Recommendations to others considering the product:

Prepare to invest a lot of time learning the platform on your own and tailoring to your needs.

Can't get what we need to justify another platform to reference. Provides some value with leaderboards but not worth 20k/yr.

What do you like best?

I did like how Insight Squared displayed the data. They had a good variety of reports and it was relatively easy to use. Dashboards were customizeable, which was nice for individual sales people. Management really liked having it because it gave them reason to complain, which where I was working, was all they were looking for.

What do you dislike?

The data was there, but it's was not all that actionable, and often it wasn't accurate. It didn't sync in real time with Salesforce and I found myself ignoring it more than anything because I didn't rust the data. Management just used the numbers they say to complain, and we spent lots of wasted time defending ourselves by proving the data was invalid. I found it to be not much more than pretty pictures. Had a great interface, but not backed by quality data. If I was in a position to purchase Insight Squared for my team, I would pass. It's just another sales tool to use that isn't really necessary.

I should caveat this by saying it is possible that my management didn't have it set up correctly. They were the type to purchase everything pitched at them and only half-ass the setup.

Really really dive into it and ask very specific questions to make sure it will do exactly what you are trying to accomplish. Don't assume anything.

Trying to increase sales. That was the whole point. The time I spent in Insight Squared didn't help me do that though. It gave management metrics to complain about, but I very regularly showed them how the metrics were wrong. I ended up spending a lot of time looking at reports for accuracy or defending myself, none of which lead to more sales. I would have sold more if I didn't have to waste my time with this.
