What do you like best?
Flexibility in creating forms that meet our needs. Many types of inputs are available. Support is quick and helpful. Sending reports to multiple email accounts is possible. Reviewing raw data via excel is helpful
What do you dislike?
Lack of a Windows app. Some calculated fields don't work well on Android, such as date calculations. Date calcs, in general, are difficult. Forms can be exported to Excel for editing, but have to be submitted to support for uploading.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Customized construction field reporting. Standardizing reporting across users. Tweaking questions as required to provide actionable data.
What do you like best?
The forms look very professional, they are extremely customizable (and so would suit a number of industries), and the mobile platform is easy to use.
What do you dislike?
FastField is constantly improving, but there are a few things they could certainly do better. Their desktop platform and mobile platform don't seem to share progress. You have to set up a "forward cycle" to send from mobile to continue editing on a desktop. We've had problems on our team with information disappearing in that cycle, although that may now be fixed. Many of our users start in the field but need to finish at home, and it would be nice to save a draft of the form without forward cycling that could then be opened on the desktop and completed. Secondly, once monthly we like to distribute outside reports. Because we issue field reports to so many clients on so many projects, this gets arduous. The option to add a file into the report is available, but on the phone it only allows you to select from some folders on your device - does not appear to have compatibility with google drive, which is where we store these items. So, we have to separately distribute these monthly items, where we'd much prefer to integrate them with our FastField reports.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Our clients love our detailed reports! It also protects us from potential future legal disputes, as we're able to log all kinds of observations in the field, and then issue them directly to clients without delay. Team members who aren't on site often review the reports for issues they need to address. The autofill options (where we use them) prevent mistakes by the user.
What do you like best?
It is quick to implement although somewhat complicated to handle at the beginning, After discussing this, our requirement was met, which was excellent and allowed us to move quickly. The administration interface is easy to use with basic knowledge.
What do you dislike?
Despite some details with the support team, my queries and questions have always been answered as soon as they are online, so, to be honest, it has never caused a problem.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
The mobile application is really fast and easy to use for people with little experience in the field. Speed and ease of use were key to its success because it had to be 10 times better than the previous paper system that people were used to.

FastField has been a positive change for our general operations. Now we can offer our customers a faster reporting service and manage our documentation much better now.
