What do you like best?
It provides encryption but thats about it.
What do you dislike?
The Egress switch app for IOS has not been updated since April 2019. Since IOS 13 it no longer links to voice memos for sending dictation and the send button has disappeared on the final generated email so its impossible to tell if the message has been sent. See the screenshot.
Egress for mac constantly returns the message that its not configured for the current Mojave version but no update.
Why is there no direct integration for mail in the same way as for Outlook. The mac version certainly seems to be the poor cousin.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
When emails go they are encrypted.
What do you like best?
Internal ease of use, tightly integrated in to Outlook for all users making it 'almost' transparent.
What do you dislike?
Recipient portal is cumbersome to use in high volume email transactions.

Run a full test implementation.

The ability to check if an email has been delivered, opened and if necessary rescind is very useful.
What do you like best?
There are many times in my line of work when I have to transfer a large file, a large number of files, or a confidential file (or confidential information) to someone within my organization. Traditional email is usually not the best way to transfer such files, either due to an attachment size limit or the non-secure nature of non-encrypted emails. Moreover, transferring such files over the cloud may not always be secure (nor is transferring paper copies of information through the internal mail system). The Egress Switch software allows me to do all of the above tasks within the framework of the Microsoft Outlook email software; I don't even have to open up a new program on my computer.
What do you dislike?
Egress Switch can be finicky and confusing at times. There have been multiple times in which I've attached encrypted files/text to an email message within Microsoft Outlook, only for all the attachments to be removed once I hit the "Send" button to send my email. This is quite annoying, as it means re-attaching the files to the email all over again. A less discerning user may even end up sending an email without any attachments at all by accident. Moreover, when accessing the secure file(s) sent through email (via the "Switch Web Access" tool), it is not clear whether one should "Open Online" or "Download" the file(s). For my organization, "Download"-ing the file is always the easier and preferred option, as the "Open Online" option requires creating an Egress account/profile, which is not only unnecessary but perhaps worrisome for some users. Finally, for the recipient of an Egress email, it is not always clear that the email received is legitimate. In fact, I've had Egress email recipients tell me that they thought my email was a phishing/spam attempt.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you use Egress Switch, you will need to train your employees on what it is and how to use it. It's not a very intuitive software to use, but if you know how to use it, Egress Switch can be a very powerful tool, especially given its integration into Microsoft Outlook. The biggest downside is that Egress Switch emails can often look like phishing emails, which is the exact opposite of what you want. This is why training is essential.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Egress Switch allows employees in my organization transfer a large file, a large number of files, or a confidential file (or confidential information) to someone else within the organization. For me, this is a huge relief, as I don't have to rely on the cloud nor paper-based internal mail to carry out such tasks, which cuts out hassle, worry, time.
What do you like best?
When the tray app is loaded, encrypted emails open automatically in Outlook
What do you dislike?
lots of registry keys that need to be changed when we have Egress issues

Learn where the registry keys are located to assist with troubleshooting

I can create secure messages and/or packages for employees or fellow administrators knowing no one else can access our information.
What do you dislike?
The pop up is constant but it does remind you to use the program
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Easy to use and absolutely affordable, give your employees time to learn the programs ins and outs. It is worth the time to train them and it will secure your documents and transactions. Pain free, but will definitively ensure that your important files are safe. Give it a try
