What do you like best?
The pricing is fair, and the interface is really nice.
What do you dislike?
I've got few good things to say about DEAR, but more than enough negative. I've been at my company for 4 years, and we've had DEAR as long as I've been here. Speed has always been an issue, but lately it's been affecting us in more and more ways. As we've grown, the system has been less useful for our needs. In addition, they've been doing useless updates to the UI instead of actually improving the things that I've been having issues with. Last Friday, their whole system went down unannounced for 2 hours while we sat there twiddling our thumbs for that entire time. Our warehouse is entirely dependent on an inventory system, so we use it nearly constantly all day, every day. Needless to say, we went home an hour late that Friday which was enough to push me over the edge to write reviews on them. In addition to poor website "up-time", their customer support has been anything but helpful. They send robotic replies that do not address our issue directly, only reassuring us that something is being done to fix it. That sounds great, but the issues remain and further emails with support bring the same reply. They've had 4 years that I've used DEAR to fix their problems, and they haven't. I don't plan on holding my breath on something being done in the future either. I am currently really pushing to move to a new system. Keep in mind when you get this system, it is extraordinarily hard to change systems.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Overall, not a good experience with DEAR. They don't have good customer relations, and they certainly do not have a good website or service.
PROS & CONS
What are the best aspects of this product?
The user interface is nice, and provides a clean appearance. In addition, the pricing is fair for the features it provides.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
The website is clean, but it is terribly slow. It's been an issue in the past but it's been manageable. With our company growing really rapidly, it's no longer able to meet our needs. Additionally, the website down-time is unacceptable. Usually about 5-30 minutes every day, but last Friday it went down for 2 hours when we needed it full-time amongst 3 users. This was an inconvenience to say the least, but I can't say we were surprised. The support team is about as helpful as eating cereal with a fork. They send vague and unhelpful reassurances that something is being done, which I can appreciate, but nothing is ever actually fixed. The replies from their support team always leaves me more confused about what the issue was than I was before. Overall, we keep using them because it's just too hard to move away from them. If I could suggest that you don't take on a cheaper service such as DEAR with plans to move on in the future, I think that you would be better off with a slightly more spendy option.

PROS & CONS
What are the best aspects of this product?
Integrates with Woocommerce and Shipstation - sort of. There are times when this breaks.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
The integration works sometimes and sometimes it doesn't. The customer service is more likely to blame you for a problem you bring to them instead of looking at the code. For example, you can upload your products from Woocommerce. It should build the SKU's in Dear. However, it doesn't always work. You contact them and they tell you to do it again and you do it again for 3 x 4 times. At the end, they recommend that you upload the product from Dear to Woocommerce which destroys the content you have on the page for SEO unless the system pulled it down first, and it barely ever does that, or you have the foresight to leave it open you can copy and paste it back in after Dear is done ravaging your business and taking away your traffic.
What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?
Better integration. Better customer service that doesn't blame the customer for issues when the code doesn't work.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
They have answered many questions but this, in general, is bad. The product does not work like intended and does not look at the code to fix the problem. They assume you are the issue first.
Are you a current user of this product?
Yes
What do you like best?
Stock system split with multiple locations. Automatic stock Integration with shopify is extremely handy. Full tractability with stock means you know exactly where everything has gone. Link to Stripe & Paypal means customers can pay for their invoices without needing to phone the company. Payments can be taken via an online portal.
Advanced purchases, sales means you can have multiple fulfilments (if you need to part ship).
What do you dislike?
The program can be very clunky to use sometimes. With certain features not thought out well enough to be fully usable. Support does also not really seem to be interested in listening to/ fixing broken features. The production module is next to useless. You can only create a new production per product variant. Meaning for one order you could have 100's of production orders on. Trying to keep track of these is a nightmare. We opted to use the purchasing module as a makeshift alternative.
The most annoying aspect is that at times you have to undo orders if you need to make a change. Resulting in you having to re authorise any potential pick/ pack lists, invoice, shipping etc. It can take an hour to change something as simple as a price.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Utilise the free trial as much as possible. Don't commit unless you have thoroughly tested all features.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Integration with shopify is very useful. When you sell something on shopify it automatically takes stock out of your master stock list. Essential if you sell in multiple platforms, and require stock to be very accurate.
We have multiple warehouses. Tracking the inventory all in one place means we don't need two systems.
