What are the best aspects of this product?

It's a great solution to build interactive dashboards that can be used for your (automated) reporting. I really like their drag & drop interface in the ‘Analyzer’, because it is intuitive to use. I had no real experience with BI tools before but most of the features I was able to explore on my own and otherwise, their support was always really helpful (as well as the tutorials). The dashboards itself have all the features I needed, and I saved a lot of time for my ongoing reports.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Actually, I was satisfied since day 1 of the trial and continued to use the tool on an ongoing basis. If you want to find something ‘bad’, there are some advanced analytics features where you need to know SQL. But I guess that’s the case for other BI tools as well.

What are the best aspects of this product?

As a high-level sales manager, I must have full control over our processes all the time
and ensure continuous company growth. Issues have arisen when our team expanded
to over 15, and I simply didn’t have proper tools to analyze all the data, report, not to
mention lead a team with 100% efficiency. Preparation for our weekly, monthly and
quarterly meetings turned into days, my folder was filled with Excel files, and my team
suffered from investing so much time into the analysis, rather than selling. I started to
search for a software that will give everyone access at any given point in time, without
the need for lengthy Excel analysis or PowerPoint presentations. In sales, you need to
act quickly, and swiftly, so I searched for a solution that will enable us to incorporate all
of our KPIs into a single place, manage our data in real-time, and eliminate the burden
of tiresome reporting processes. We needed to drastically cut the time of our
administration.
I had the pleasure to test more than 5 different vendors, and, believe me, the decision to
sign up with datapine was carefully considered and approved by the whole team. Their
onboarding process is quite straightforward and customer service extremely responsive
to our requests, but the main thing that made us their loyal clients for the past 2 years is

their product. I cannot find any solution on the market that has such intuitive and easy-
to-use features such well developed for managing data, analyzing, reporting, and

helping me to develop my team and the sales efficiency by 100%. We completely cut
down the reporting process and automated all the reports each member of the team
needs to compile or receive. Our analysis is done in real-time and if I’m not certain about
certain value, progress, KPI or timeframe, I simply conduct an ad-hoc analysis within
minutes. Our preparations for the meetings have also cut down since we have built our
customized KPI dashboards that update automatically and we only need to look at the
data in front of us, not export multiple spreadsheets and hope for the best.
We have simply connected our data sources, with the help of datapine got everything
set up, and started using their numerous features. Don’t get me wrong, the software will

not do all the work for you, but it will drastically decrease the amount of time needed to
perform a quality sales process, track low-level to high-level metrics such as the lifetime
value, sales growth, targets, revenues, etc. I would also mention their alerts which is
crucial in a fast-paced sales environment, the software itself alarms me whenever my
targets are missed or the values start to deviate from our set margins.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

We wanted also a mobile feature where our team could access our data and
dashboards also from smartphones or tablets, what was not possible at the beginning.
Luckily, they’ve introduced a mobile app in 2018 so now we have a mobile route to our
sales information which is quite neat, especially when you are on the go.

What are the best aspects of this product?

My colleague has given me a “viewer” access so I didn’t build any dashboard, but have access to
quite a few of them. I work in business development so marketing and sales data are quite
important to consolidate since my decisions are based on these two departments quite often, not to
mention other business development areas. The interface is simple; I simply log-in to my viewer
account and have access to all my dashboards, even on my smartphone. The only thing I need is an
Internet connection and I can log whenever I need. The advanced filters are robust: I can filter all the
data based on my business questions and generate an answer immediately. Drilldowns also behave
intuitively: I can drill into the dashboard and specific KPI as much as needed while staying on a single
screen. My work became much more productive thanks to dashboards so I would recommend
anyone to give it a try.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I wasn’t involved in the setup of dashboards so I don’t have information if it’s complex. I do,
however, have experience in working with final dashboards and they definitely increased my
productivity.

What are the best aspects of this product?

As a Managing Director and Owner of a company, I need to focus on and control numerous processes across the business, and data is something I need to rely on 100% when making decisions. I had to jump from file to file, person to person, and oftentimes got lost into all the amount of data we were generating, but not extracting enough value. To create a report was time-consuming, to present a strategy based on data was time-consuming; basically, all the processes concerning data were extremely time consuming and costing large amounts of money. I wanted a solution for all – project management, departmental management, and easy connection across the board. Datapine was the only software that doesn’t just cover time efficiency but also predicts the future. I enjoyed exploring their predictive analytics feature that lets me see how my metrics will behave in the future. Of course, you can’t rely just on software to run and predict your business future, but having datapine as our ‘business assistant’ has proven not only time-efficient but cost-effective, too. We have automated so many processes that now we can focus on expanding our businesses more than ever before, and I only regret not using Datapine in the past. For example, we have monthly managerial meetings where we present our findings and create an overview plan for the next month. Each department had to create and export numerous spreadsheets to present their data and provide recommendations. Since we use Datapine, our data is updated automatically, and each manager has its own dashboard which we present on our big screens and drill down, if needed. I can’t imagine doing my business without Datapine anymore, and I can fully recommend using the software or at least to try it and see for yourself.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

I would like more tutorials. They do offer videos and documentation but it would be nice to have more detailed ones. Nevertheless, when we have questions, their support is always happy to help.

Creating and managing reports. The amount of time that datapine saved us is immeasurable.

What are the best aspects of this product?

We were searching for a BI Software, that could be used within the whole company. We wanted to
avoid, that every department uses a different solution. After researching the market and testing
multiple provider with a free trial, we decided for datapine. After using it now over 2 years I can
summarize, that we are super satisfied with their product as well as their professional and friendly
support. We have now access to all our data in datapine and everyone within the company is able to
make data-driven decisions. Especially, their dashboards are super powerful and on the other hand
easy-to-use for everyone. Moreover, I really like their predictive analytics tool.

What aspects are problematic or could work better?

Of course, it is quite a big investment, especially if you didn’t use a business intelligence software
before. Before we heavily relied on data analysis on Excel and presenting analysis results in
PowerPoint. However, I am really happy that we now have datapine implemented and it was for
sure worth the money.
