What do you like best?
Software works well for billing and invoicing but reporting is a real issue. Also a lot of bugs in Revenue Story.
What do you dislike?
Customer Support are very slow and do not know how to escalate issues. Revenue recognition reporting is absolutely awful and terribly unreliable. Every month I point out errors, they say they're fixed and they pop up again the following month. I now have to restate all numbers in 2018 as a result of errors.

Subscription billing and invoicing.
What do you like best?
The actual platform is excellent, just don't use their native integrations.
What do you dislike?
DISCLAIMER: This is essentially my only recourse in order to attempt to get a resolution to my issues. I have continuously worked with their development team to resolve issues associated with using an integration that doesn't align with their stated documentation. I have no other recourse than hope they response to G2 Crowd and monitor social. I am tired of being a alpha customer for a product that is stated as released. I would change my review if they provided a working Salesforce integration. Primarily;
- Actually use Salesforce, go through your documentation and see if what you are stating the integration provides, actually works. That is the best way to start.
- I use no constraints, or anything that would effect my integration to Salesforce as it pertains to their stated integration.
- Their stated integration/documentation to Salesforce, ABSOLUTELY does not work as described.
- Duplicate Account records have been created, hundreds (they have resolved this, but I have to manually monitor.
- Lead conversion does not work as described in their documentation.
- Opportunity creation does not work as described in their documentation.
- Changes to the workflow have to be done by the development team. This is for standard functionality.
- Other out of the box integrations that they claim have also proven buggy, so anytime I can use Zapier or equivalent to accomplish what I need to do... I in the process of evaluating if Salesforce integration can be accomplished via Zapier for my non-unique needs.
Recommendations to others considering the product
If you are using Saleforce, please re-consider until you can thoroughly trial (with completed transactions, billing, opportunity and trial flow into Salesforce.

Excellent base platform. Integration development team needs "refactoring".
Customer service sucks. I have been trying to get my gateway account set up properly for weeks with Chargebee but they will only communicate with me through email. They refuse to let me speak with a live agent and customer service number sends me straight to voicemail. I’m at my wits end!
I switched over them after my previous billing provider shut down. I read positive reviews regarding their service and was somewhat familiar with them beforehand. I had several calls with their technical and sales teams before settling down and switching over to them. This was a huge mistake and one that now threatens the very existence of my 10+ year old business.I use line items on invoices for transparency. Their product cannot handle more than around 20 - 30 lines before their entire system begins to bog down. Add a few hundred and it almost stops working completely. Add a few thousand to one invoice and suddenly your whole account stops working completely. Meanwhile you are given the runaround for months explaining all the things you are doing wrong (none of this is actually correct and how it puts too much strain on the system. Here's the problem though I can open a spreadsheet and add 65000+ rows and even Excel '97 can handle that just fine on 25 year old Pentium. Chargebee would likely suffer a days long outage if someone could do that because they can't make a system that scales. I have so far lost close to $10000 because of their billing solution that no longer properly invoices half of my customers. Now customer service just copies and pastes the same answer every time I contact them.
Chargebee is dead in terms of service - we have been trying to having an invoicing issue resolved for three months - I suspect they no longer provide any customer support and simply outsource helpdesk to create a facade. As at October 2019 I dont think anyone actually works there anymore.
