What do you like best?
System itself seems to offer a lot of flexibility and functionality.
What do you dislike?
The fact that we weren't given all the options shown in the demo and now they expect additional fees in order to get what we told them we wanted originally. On the system for 3 months and we still don't know how to use it properly and can't use all the modules/functions because we haven't been shown how. Support is HORRIBLE and in many cases their responses don't even apply to the actual question you submitted (almost feels like you're dealing with a government bureaucrat that doesn't really know anything.
Recommendations to others considering the product
Make sure you get in writing EXACTLY what you expect from them as far as support and training during implementation before you sign. Talk to other users about their experiences with regular ongoing support. Make sure when you tell them you want "all the options and modules" that they really did include everything in the price you're given. They speak a different language when they refer to all of their modules and functionality so make sure you're absolutely clear on what you're getting.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Unfortunately, I don't see that switching to Dayforce has really solved any problems and any benefits we THOUGHT we were going to realize have yet to come to fruition.
What do you like best?
Nothing. There is nothing special to like about this product.
What do you dislike?
Everything. You would think our company was working for Dayforce, not the other way around. We had to provide the data for conversion to them, which is normal. What is not normal, is that they REQUIRED us to submit it in their formats. Days and days of work put into this, and even with the specifics mapped out for them, it was still WAY incorrect on the test site. Then there is testing - which they seem to do very little on their own. We had to test the data, submit it to them and they would get it partially right and call it a day.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
If you are with ADP, considering Dayforce to save money, stop. The extra you may be spending with ADP will make up for what you will be spending in your employee's overtime just trying to handle this monstrosity enough to get your employees paid. I cannot say I still have the peace of mind ADP gave me as far as compliance and reliability.

I really don't have any positive comments.
What do you dislike?
We switched from BambooHR to Dayforce due to an acquisition, and it's been a huge disappointment for the regular user. We have almost no visibility into the company calendar. (BambooHR shows coworkers' PTO, birthdays, work anniversaries, company holidays, etc.).
The UI is far less user friendly than BambooHR, as well. It's not always easy to find what you need. In fact, we were given a 22-page user guide for Dayforce when we initially set up our accounts, and that wasn't always correct.
Little things make Dayforce a pain when it really doesn't have to be. For example, requesting PTO that spans a weekend will charge hours for the weekend even though our company is closed Sat-Sun. And if you cancel approved PTO, it doesn't just disappear from your calendar. There's some second layer of approval (of a cancellation?!) before you can get your hours back.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Check out some of the new solution providers instead of defaulting to the status quo in HR software.

It's HR software, so it's necessary for timesheets, PTO, tax withholding, pay info, etc. But Dayforce itself is a step back compared to newer tech solutions.
What do you like best?
I’m not sure what there is too like. I never get paid on time.

Payments take forever. The log accounting of my time is not accurate

Ceridian Dayforce has an easy to look at interface and is relatively simple in doing what it is supposed to do - help keeps track of an employees time.
What do you dislike?
The app has to be downloaded onto the employee's phone. What if they don't have space for anymore apps on their phone? It also required an internet connection to login and sign in for a shift. If I wasn't able to get online, I wasn't able to login and sign in to make sure I was getting paid for the hours I was at work. This would lead me to sometimes being late for a shift or having to contact my manager who then had to contact other higher up individuals in the organization to figure out how we could make sure I was compensated for my time at work properly.

I found more negatives than positives with Ceridian Dayforce as an employee. I have not used as an employer and I don't know that I ever would based on my experience using it as an employee
