What do you like best?
Once you get the hang of this clunky, outdated interface, it can be used to originate loans.
What do you dislike?
It’s Windows-only, so hope you don’t prefer Mac. It’s clunky, and the interface looks like it hasn’t been updated since 2004. It’s also not that intuitive; there’s a steep learning curve.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
The software can be used to originate loans. Newer add-on features like Zip can make some of the process more online-friendly.

Does what I need it to do to process mortgages and loans

Con be complicated and takes time to learn, do not use many of the tabs on the screen

Point allows me to originate loans, but the system is clunky. It hasn't changed much in the 10-years I've used it. There are hundreds of forms that different lenders require. It would be nice if they were searchable. They are not. Setting up templates is time consuming. Much of the information could be pre-populated, but isn't. There are only a few options for loan origination software, so I am relegated to this or to Byte Pro or Encompass.
What do you dislike?
Clunky. Hard to navigate. No innovation. It is basically the same product it was 10 years ago. No training.

Try others as well. At $10/seat, this might be the cheapest option.

It is one of the few loan origination software platforms out there.

Data retention and report generation. The ability to input submit track and review loans from any device

Not the strongest one I ever used. Although I have worked aroud any glitches, there clearly are some problems

Calyx is whats known as an LOS. Loan operating system. By creative use of report tools, the data mining features can be utilized.
What do you dislike?
Its a little quirky and occasionally mis-populates fields of interfaced software.
