What do you like best?
This is extremely hard to answer as I don't find it very user friendly and am struggling to find things I like about it!
What do you dislike?
The reporting tools are not detailed enough and it is hard to find or trailer reports to specif requirements
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Ensure you fully understand the functions of the system before starting. Also make sure all products and transactions are added correctly because rectifying any mistakes can be hard in this system
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
It is still a system which allows al business transactions to be recorded. Businesses always require such a tool
PROS & CONS
What are the best aspects of this product?
It may be that the sales person had led us to have the wrong expectation. What is promised were never delivered and we were told many of them are not possible in the end. So we have to constantly make compromise eventually to an extent where it is not worth to onboard the project in the first place.
What aspects are problematic or could work better?
If your company does not require an ERP system now, it might be a good time to speak to them (ironically) as it would take aweful lot of communication and verification (with hindsight), and I mean seriously check at least 3 times when they promise something could be achieved, and in writing as well, to make sure it is the right choice for you.
Also, be prepared to do all the work yourself and do not hope to get much assistance from them. Although it's perfectly normal to assume that a project like this would require full support, especially if it's your first similar project and naturally there would be lots of questions. But let me assure you with our very costly experience, that's not going to happen.
What you will have is: a few remote training session and then that's pretty much it. You will then have lots of homework assigned to you and not much support is available. We had our point of contact leaving the position at the time so it caused some delay and confusion too, so you might want to check no one you would be working with would leave soon.
If this is your first project, Brightpearl is most likely not suitable for you if you are like us. We would highly recommend find someone else like Linnworks. Their support is way much better and you will have full support along the way. Not just answer your question over the phone and through all the work back at you. They will literally go through each step with you.
If you are already in desperate for an ERP system and need to implement quickly, Brightpearl won't be suitable for you due to the lack of support and massive amount of DIY work, which is the least thing you need when looking for something like this.
What features/services would you like to see in future versions of this product?
We won't be using this product and would not recommend it to anyone. We are an eCommerce company selling products online and we find it not supporting many critical features we require, despite being promised by the sales person.
What specific problems in your company were solved by this product?
The inventory synchronization is working okay. But we could easily pay 1/10th of the price and get the job done.

Called for a quote and was told 15k to 20k for implementation and that it would probably be way more than 1k a month. API integrations and CSV uploads are easy with a quick google class and CRM data is the same. While the monthly costs are understandable, 15k to 20k to implement is too much for uploads that take a day to do.
•BrightPearl software is okay and can get the job done (star 3)•WMS software is underdeveloped, with lots of bugs and glitches. System crashes often and can be seen here status.brightpearl. /history causing downtime for business, inefficiencies, errors in fulfillment (Star NIL)•Infrastructure and architect design would advise digging further into the APIs configure (and ask them about data security breach) (star 2)•Support team needs investment and support from the company. Tickets not addressed timely and not resolved, support team, takes approach of monitoring bugs for future recurring issues prior to addresses; (Star 1) •Costs. Reasonable if, the tech work as described and support team. During the onboarding process identify a lot of workarounds for software as the sales process sold a few features (not man) that were still in the development phase. At this stage the product does not justify the cost (Star 1) •Enquiry other fees associated with connecting to your company's tech stack, a few hidden costs arose during onboarding •In summary there is potential in product in future periods. That said, the organisation could benefit from customer support / cx in future periods
Had potential following recommendation's, but they blew it on a zoom call. Overheard a pre-meeting and them saying "Tell'em it is £25k or they can [foxtrot oscar]" - edited for the purposes of this post". Trust and Integrity questionable. Massive shame as rather support British companies, but with these values... internationals are almost always likely to win.
