What do you like best?

What do you like best?
BB gives you the possibility to work in very short delivery cycles and have numerous feedback loops with your customers. The application grows organically.
What do you dislike?
Some features are not yet completely mature, but they are very open to tips and feature requests.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Come and visit an Academy night to have a taste of the spirit of the company and the way it views the world!
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Integrating multiple systems and providing a single front end for these systems. In two weeks we created a prototype together with a customer, which is now being discussed as a possible replacement for a legacy system.
What do you like best?
I like that we can now deliver much faster to our customers. We can shift the focus to other aspects of entire the customer journey. Also, we can now hire a different profile for application development so we can grow much faster as a company.
What do you dislike?
Betty Blocks should focus more on reusable parts to prevent repetitive tasks and develop (or not develop at all) even faster.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We have gained a lot of competitive advantage. The pace at which we develop fully tailor-made business applications broadened our market and allowed us to shift a focus to other parts of the process which strengthens our entire proposition.
What do you like best?
Fully webbased solution, development environment as well as runtime. This means that you don't have to install any IDE and you can developen anytime anywhere. An the thing is: it really work and offers a robust and stable development platform that works as expected. I Always get really anoyed when peolpe start explaining how something should be working, when it actually isn't. BettyBlocks just works as expected!
BettyBlocks is a platform that I could really recommend to business end-users. It is so intuitive that business developers with a little IT affinity can start developing pilot applications after only a day or so of training.
What is also nice is that you can build the first version of your application on production and then very easily switch to an OTAP way of working afterwards.
What do you dislike?
The speed of development can quickly lead to a trial&error way of working. This can lead to obsolete objects and actions, which polute your application
I think the workflow part of BettyBlocks can an should be improved. Now you quickly have a lot of actions and you lose the overal view of how the (automated) processes work.
I also lose overview quickly on the custom models, when I import some complex API's. Maybe a per-API grouping would help

We are doing developing some new Insurance products. With BettyBlocks we have developed 2 backoffice applications with an API for the web front-end. In one of these applications we have created a full value chain by integrating our supplier into the BettyBlocks application. Our experience is that with BettyBlocks you can perform commercial product testing and supply chain / process testing at the same time. In this way you can make a much better business case at the end of a product pilot, because you have an overview of both benefits and costs.
