What do you like best?
The personal health dashboard alerting and clean UI to messy log messages
What do you dislike?
It is provided free and provides user an easy way to look at logs but not all events presented are interesting to the user and not all events interested to the user is presented.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
A single pane of glass for alert and events related to account. High level events is available but lack depth.
What do you like best?
I can quickly get a glimpse of the health check of AWS services and it helps me narrow down the root cause of the problem when a service becomes unavailable. I also like the ability to create custom notifications when things go south.
What do you dislike?
Sometimes, the list may take some time to update.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Increase uptime and overall health of the services
What do you like best?
Quick and fast snapshot of your AWS environment. PHD can give you a good general overview of your instance.
What do you dislike?
Is not well suited as a solitary solution for monitoring AWS.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
AWS PHD provides a simple and quick overview of your AWS environment but, it should not be relied upon as the sole monitoring solution for your AWS environment. You should monitor your instance with a more robust IT monitoring solution that provide a wider array of monitoring variables and use that in conjunction with PHD.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
The health dashboard allows you to see real time performance of your AWS environment. It's useful until you have the environment being monitored by your primary IT monitoring suite.
What do you like best?
I like the fact that I can sync and see all of our AWS services in one place and that it actually gives me notifications and alerts when someone on one service has been affected. I also like that you can use CloudWatch Events with it.
What do you dislike?
I don't like that I can't give IAM users with permission to view my Personal Health Dashboard more than read-only access.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
It's a relatively simple and intuitive product that's a useful tool for any looking for manage multiple AWS Services.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
We're able to automatically respond to maintenance events on EC2 instances by immediately creating a new instance.
What do you like best?
the ease of use and ability to see multiple vectors of information from the portal. time savings, general ease of use, and effortlessness
What do you dislike?
having it web based sometimes makes browser updates and plugins interfere, seems lagged at times when high latency or bandwidth usage.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
anyone looking for a single point of contact to monitor health of servers and infrastructure will benefit from this greatly, saves time, energy and effort. i was able to free up internal resources that would spend time monitoring and going thru systems, and re-purpose them to customer facing events, allowing for increased profits. if you are looking for a way to utilize a product like this you will easily find one.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
keeping hosted servers up, running, and efficient; cost savings, time savings, staff integration. product has no measurable ROI, but i know its saving me time and money and energy.
