What do you like best?
Geographical proximity. Great support and intuitive dashboard
What do you dislike?
Application architecture provides an FQDN and is very rigid in not providing an IP. Available only in a couple of regions worldwide.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Better website security, transparency in terms of attacks and bandwidth, Better performance because of CDN and Apptrana's location.
What do you like best?
AppTrana helps in filtering requests from specific Geo- location IP addresses and gives summary of blocked attacks in daily report. It gives features to whitelist the address if the legitimate traffic is blocked. Apart from filtering the traffic based on the source address, it is very effective for D Dos attack protection .
Its configuration is very simple and gets implemented with few clicks. Most important part is its cost which is quite affordable as compared to other solutions giving same features.
What do you dislike?
Need more features in customized rules to manage specific problem.

AppTrana is helping in solving problems to protect applications from DoS and DDoS threats , SQL injection, blocking unwanted crawlers, protection from SQL injection etc.
What do you like best?
I like the idea of a team that is monitoring and taking care of my sites 24x7 and updating the firewall as needed immediately!
What do you dislike?
The product/service has matured a lot over the last 3 years that I have been using it, so I dont have anything to dislike.

Simple, effective security. I have tried others and they all require too much effort on the part of the customer. Apptrana provides a white glove service which is what I really love.
