What do you like best?
Getting straight into AppOnBoard and implementing playables relatively quickly is hands down the best feature AOB has in the market. I can quickly throw together any level of complicated playables; the ability to pivot to the different partners is so useful.AOBs ability to give me the WYSIWYG platform for making playables with my lack of coding background is invaluable and allows me to compete in a growing market - and makes it accessible to those who need this ability to pivot as well.
What do you dislike?
The downsides to AOB are less about what I dislike, and more how of it functions for building out playables. For instance, there is a lot of creative planning that goes into making a decent and viable playable for publishing. Also, the asset optimizations required are a little vague throughout the process, and required me to reach out to our Account Reps to get a better understanding of the best methods for optimization. Of course they responded well and timely, however I think some of the optimizations could have been specified more clearly in the "publishing" area OR a manual with clearer examples and presets for best practices to be supplied along with the software. The training did include some of this and the Best Practices hand-guide explained some of these details, however there were parts missing that caused issues with compression and publishing file sizes that were unclear before speaking to our reps.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Honestly, really easy to use and very good value to any company looking to advertise via playable. The account reps are very friendly, easy to chat with directly and available within 24hours notice, and are not afraid to hear questions or feedback on improving software for the needs of the user.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Playables and Prototyping - the benefit is a drastic reduction on development teams to create working prototypes via scripting and code based production and allow our creative teams the ability to pivot and present ideas more fluently, efficiently, and get us end results quicker that help steer dev teams with clearer purpose and data-based reasoning, and to reduce the overall timeline production.
What do you like best?
The most helpful thing about AppOnboard Studio is how simple and easy it is to make playables. It removes the confusion, the headaches, and the coding for us designers. I am able to create simple and yet very engaging creatives that can connect to many new users.
What do you dislike?
Some of the dislikes are very nitpicky for someone like me who has been using Adobe products for years. Such as not being able to move the windows the way I like it to make my workflow easier and quicker. A good part of my issues is mainly workflow related and UI related. However, the AppOnBoard team has been listening to suggestions I have given to them and are always updating their program.

Talk to the AppOnBoard team if you have any questions or would like to learn. They are extremely quick and helpful when it comes to helping with any needs you have.

As someone who has never made a playable ad creative at all but has seen them in the wild. A lot of the questions of where do I start or how do I even create a playable that I've seen have been eliminated thanks to AppOnBoard Studio. I can focus on the storyboard on what I want my creatives to be and put it all together without needing to worry about the coding side of things.
What do you like best?
That studio brings the power of playables to anyone with some basic technical knowledge and the desire to engage with users in a fun way. It's often difficult to showcase UI in an advertisement, but this brings the experience right to the viewer. The Studio program itself is being constantly updated to add intuitive steps to the workflow and the explainer tutorials can help in any situation so you can really create anything that you can imagine.
What do you dislike?
I think for designers it would be nice to have the playable construction based on a node workflow type interface. The current building method is based on dropdown menus and the vocabulary can make me take pause. With a visual node design you could incorporate connecting arrows from one video clip to the next and feel confident that you incorporating elements correctly and are using your time efficiently.

Have a grasp on Adobe After Effects to create all your clips to be put into Studio.

Showing the viewer how engaging our storytelling is. We can incorporate the interactivity of our stories like choose-your-own-adventure in ways we could not do with any other advertisement.
What do you like best?
AppOnboard Studio is very user friendly and easy to use. The support team is also very helpful.
What do you dislike?
Exporting can be a little troublesome sometimes.

Use this software for an easy way to make playable and interactive ads, as well as instant apps. It's super easy to use and the features make it very user friendly.

I've created playables really easily and have been able to export to multiple different platforms. I like that it constantly updates for the better. The team is very responsive.
What do you like best?
The interface is very easy to understand and when things are not clear, it is easy to play around with the controls to get what you want. I think this is a good method of learning the product. I like that I can view the playable and interact with it on my phone after creating it.
What do you dislike?
The biggest down side might not have much to do with the Studio but more so with the companies the playables are posted on - It is very frustrating to downsize your files to fit the file limitations needed for Apple/Google, etc. I find it difficult to get my files to the correct size for uploading.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Make many playables once you start learning so that you can pick up the program easier. It is easy to forget all the controls after only making one playable.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
It is great to see my work as a html file. There is definitely a lack of users who struggle with coding, and Studio makes it easy because the coding is done for you.
