What do you like best?
Honestly nothing, I really don't like anything about this software except for the fact that it is visually appealing.
What do you dislike?
Try opening a CSV file on apple numbers and you will be quickly disappointed.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
Maybe make it more like excel

Numbers is great if you want todo basic editing or quickly view a file. Numbers excels in its simplicity
What do you dislike?
Unfortunately I find it very limited in its latest version - making simple tasks removing duplicates, selective hilighting, manipulating large amounts of data. that should be simple in excel take an exorbitant amount of time or even impossible. Many of the features that are missing apparently were in older versions of numbers before they rebuilt it from the ground up.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you want to just view and look at data while performing minor edits then use numbers it will be great and you love it!
If you are using it in anger to get things done with manipulating large data sets you are better to stay away from numbers. It is fantastic how it is free and comes with every mac giving you a . basic suite of office tools.
What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Very few as I find that excel is much much better for completing tasks, that is not to say I did not try as I wanted to try and get away from Microsoft (the a driver for getting a mac in the first place).
What do you like best?
It's free. That's about it. I mean you can get away with it if you rarely use spreadsheets.
What do you dislike?
Operating numbers is clunky and very unintuitive. A lot of necessary tools are either hidden or don't exist.
Also almost every PC user has difficulty opening the files.

Use Google sheets or Excel

I do a lot of data analysis, reporting, product feeds, customer exports etc. Which is barely scratching the surface of the capabilities of an Excel/Google sheets system.
What do you like best?
I appreciate the Apple Numbers helps me keep track of important data - especially when we keep track of attendance numbers and scholarship funds that we award for summer camp.
What do you dislike?
Honestly, I have found Numbers to not be as intuitive or user-friendly as Excel, which is what I used for years before switching to Numbers. I believe I will switch back to Excel at my soonest possible opportunity.
Recommendations to others considering the product:
If you're considering switching from Excel to Numbers, don't... especially if you've used Excel for some time. Numbers is fine, but Excel is the better product.

Apple Numbers helps me organize and keep track of important data that helps me more efficiently do my job as a youth pastor. For example, Numbers helps me easily track attendance, which then helps me check up on students if they've been away from church for a while.
What do you like best?
I like the ability to import and export any of my coworkers MS Excel docs. iCloud integration is the best, easy for quick edits, pulling up on a desktop computer, passing off to an intern. Everything is easy and data is never saved over.
What do you dislike?
Its very difficult for life-long Microsoft users to make edits in Numbers. While the program is free, Apple hardware is expensive. Also no android, windows or web-based support.

Do you have a lot of Apple products? Its for you.

Better price point than Excel (free). I can make edits on my phone and iPad with iCloud, Office 360 is terrible compared to this ease of use.
