I’ve been using Adobe Acrobat DC for several years now, both for personal and professional work. Whether I’m editing contracts, filling out forms, or converting scanned documents into searchable PDFs, it handles everything with ease. The interface has improved over time and is fairly intuitive once you get used to it. It's saved me so much time and has made working with documents much more efficient. The OCR (text recognition) feature especially comes in handy when working with scanned files.

What you like the most about Adobe Acrobat DC?

What I love most is how powerful and versatile it is. Adobe Acrobat DC lets you do almost anything with a PDF—edit text, convert files, fill out forms, sign documents digitally, and even combine or organize pages. It feels like a onestop shop for all PDF-related tasks, and the integration with cloud storage is a big plus.

What do you like best?

It's well known, that's about the only positive going for Adobe.

What do you dislike?

Software is buggy, licensing is horrible. I can't say how terrible my experience with Adobe has been. Repeatedly we see bugs in their software, which takes months to get an update that fixes. At one time I had everything on my pc working fine, except adobe and after weeks of e-mailing back and forth adobe closed the issue stating that it was an OS problem and that I needed to re-install my Operating system and all my software. I spent additional weeks trying to get someone at adobe to escalate the issue to development, and during that time I re-installed my OS, over 30 different applications as well as adobe. Yes the issue was fixed, but it took my weeks to get all my software re-downloaded, re-installed and the PC set back up to the way it was. The support was horrible, and for paying their $50 a month fee for the software for several years i'm floored at the terrible support. We still see issues with our clients who use adobe, and have begun pointing them toward different software to accomplish their goals.

None that I can't solve with different software, but since I need the full suite I still use the acrobat.

What do you like best?

I like how easy it is to open up PDFs in this software and to be able to edit or modify the content in PDFs so you don't have to go to word to do so (copying and pasting it) and then having to re-save it as a PDF. I believe you do have to buy a subscription though to be able to modify PDF documents. It's an easy software to use. No real need to use a tutorial on it or anything. It's a basic program to be able to open certain files.

What do you dislike?

I dislike how you have to pay for it to be able to edit/modify documents (PDF).

Recommendations to others considering the product:

I would consider buying Adobe Acrobat subscription. If you don't, you have minimal abilities in the program. By buying the subscription, you can modify the document and edit anything you want to within the content. From what I know, the subscription can get kind of pricey. Not sure if there are any sort of discounts you can get though. If your work can buy a subscription then that's the best deal. For just at home though, it's kind of annoying how you have to pay for it. It's still a great program. I just wish you didn't have to buy it to unlock basic features. Adobe Acrobat DC has really improved over the years.

What problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?

I'm solving problems on opening PDF files and editing content within the document. I have realized many benefits by the program being able to open quickly, doing exactly what I want it to.

The upside of using DC is primarily the cleaner look of the layout. However, there are some functions that aren't as readily available as in past versions.

What do you dislike?

The downside is when you attempt to combine files into a PDF. The Pro version made this easier to navigate to and less likely to place items in the wrong order.

The primary usage is the fill and sign as well as the protection to keep certain confidential items from users who might not be authorized to view the content.

I like using PDF format for reports to ensure no editing will be done. I also like the tab function available so I can have multiple reports open at once.

The editing / “fill and sign” options are difficult to use
