WRITE A REVIEWIt really looks like a nice product; and in the trial offer it was. But when the trial was over, the nice things were over too. No user friendly acces anymore, but technical complicated steps to put the data on our server. That didn't work instantly, although everybody at Active Collab was very friendly; it took weeks to get it started.Finally it worked, but only from outside; when being at the office, you couldn't enter. Now I can't log in for weeks, because I am not recognized as a user, my e-mailadress can't recover a new password etc. Don't buy this. Use the free Google Drive; less features, but also less trouble.
What do you like best?
Simple and affordable pricing makes Active Collab a must-see tool for any small business owner. With all the strength and functionality of Basecamp for a fraction of the cost, this tool can quickly become the cornerstone of any business.
What do you dislike?
Active Collab has generally decided that marketing to the possible end-user is more important than providing their paying customers with a service that promotes their business. Active Collab has no customization options for the look and feel of the platform. If you are going to use the platform to communicate with your own customers, be aware that they will be receiving emails from active collab, with active collab branding, with only a slight mention of you and your company.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
With Active Collab, my teams have really been able to get on the same page. It is fabulous for back end collaboration.
What do you like best?
This software, when fully functional, is awesome for client relations. We are able to upload files, google docs, and more, all into one platform. Additionally, we can send messages, create and complete tasks, and even run time reports for what we need to do. Although it has issues, it is a good software, and there is nothing out there like it.
What do you dislike?
IT IS NEVER FULLY FUNCTIONAL. There is never a day (use it daily that Active Collab fully works. The entire thing will be down, we won't be able to upload files, and reports can all be down at different times throughout the week. It sucks because it is so great, and we rely on it to work.
Recommendations to others considering the product
Try and see if there is any other software out there that may be better for your business. Active Collab is really great, but their technical support SUCKS and it is honestly not worth integrating everything over to AC for all of those issues. I wish someone told us before we got up to our shoulders.
What business problems are you solving with the product? What benefits have you realized?
Client communications, internal communications, to obtain information about past projects, and more. We have realized that the software is fabulous, but it is SO HARD to rely on it because of the inconsistencies and poor management.
What do you like best?
I had an excellent start in my work with activecollab, each project achieved the expected results and the overall experience was satisfactory, but now I have traveled constantly to different countries and regions to establish different work methodologies and execute projects that have opened new business opportunities for me and that's why I was forced to use the mobile version of the program, but unfortunately the result was not as expected, it is slow and the procedures take longer than necessary, it does not have what it takes to use it in my work and generates incredible delays
What do you dislike?
Unfortunately, the mobile version of activecollab is bad, it has no versatility and it is slow, I have not managed to finish projects and manage with the same speed that I did using the program on my computer, it causes me sadness because I do not want to stop using it because the reach I have been good with the program
Recommendations to others considering the product:
To avoid wasting time and mismanagement it is important to know that the program is good but its use in mobile phones is incredibly bad, it does not generate good results, it is slow and it gets stuck, I recommend taking the necessary precautions and consulting the technical service at the time of any problem because they have a service that usually gives quick answers

Good start achieving a deployment that few programs currently offer, I also have important synchronizations with the softwares that I have to use at work, the program has a lot of autonomy and every planning that I execute achieves with enough power to be successful and I think to get the most out of it the next months to the program
What do you like best?
In it's old form, Active Collab offered our team the transparency into every project that we desperately needed. It allowed various members of the team to see what was going on at different stages of the project. I loved that it came with a desktop timer that made it really easy to track time to a certain project.
What do you dislike?
The new update did not have anything that we needed and essentially changed the entire way the system functioned. After the 2015 update, our team had to switch service because Active Collab no longer worked the way we needed it to.

The system they had before 2015 was great. The update they made in 2015 changed how the service functioned.

We wanted to be more open with the creative team and business teams. Active Collab was able to help us do that at one point.
